You don’t have a boat load (pun intended of course) of time to get Blue into the water as Winter is coming all too soon for you there in Hawkeye country. Although I admit while growing up the Fall and Spring were my two favorite seasons until I learned to snow ski which adjusted my attitude towards the colder months. As for Summer in your area (I moved to the West coast many moons ago) boats are a must have to escape the hot humid June thru August burners. Looking forward to watching the drive unit and motor drop in and seeing it bask in all its glory!

I put my safety chain on before i bring the boat out of the water i have had as boat wench strap brake on me and the boat slide off the traler and the boat hit the cement not a fun day. You did a great job on ihe old traler 👍

A bit late, but here I go. That's one business like trailer! I can't help but wonder if the ORIGINAL boat that was on that trailer was a traditional direct drive inboard with a prop shaft and rudder. I'll be anxious to see your plans to support Big Blues transom. With the design of the rear of the trailer, lots of interesting ideas come to mind. I like it!!!!! More power to you my friend!!

This boat is so well supported with the keel and 10 bunks that the little inset at the rear won't be an issue. The Rinker fiberglass boat that weighed much more than this boat was a normal I/O as well. The world may never know what the original boat was on this trailer. I have seen this situation more than once. thanks for watching

I want to see how your going to fix that alumicraft man that is a bad ding you did a great job on that trailer ,with your safety chain what i do is get some clear plastic tubeing and slip it over the chain mine is welded to the winch poat and attaches to the boat with a galv rated shackle (new laws ) i mean i have towed trailers from one end of aus to the other without a rated shackle just one from a hardware store but now they have to be rated or a big fine another expense created by some boffin in an office .

Gday mate i have used both and the 3m stuff is rubbish very hard to get out of the tube wheras the sika is easy as i only use that for everything on my reatos yes it is 30 dollars a tube /cartridge but its worth the extra money .It is flexable to a degree wheras glue really isnt and sealant well i used it to put on my gunwhale rubber access ports for flotation tanks anywhere i need a good seal and strength sika is the go but remember to seal of the tube when finished ask me how i know .take care .

because my arms don't short out over time and very rarely do I have to winch in on the trailer, I just drive it up till it stops then hook it up, thanks for watching
