It would be nice if there was a points update for X-Wing. But, I doubt AMG wants to invest any time into it.

I think the reason for no California tournaments is the presence of the Las Vegas Open. While not ideal the LVO is a very big event that will have a large number of participants in all of the major games and it's relatively cheap and easy to access from most of California by car or plane.
Yeah that one is still a little close if you are in Southern California I suppose.
@@Crabbok It's about an hour flight for a reasonable price from most of the rest of the state too and gets a large California attendance already (the hosts, Frontline Games, are currently in SoCal and previously were in the SF Bay Area).
All the participation awards were from the prize booth at adepticon.

What's important to mention when we speak about prizes however is that they are just leftovers from Worlds prize wall. Whether they are cool and exciting or not from design perspective (quality of rulers and trays is really bad btw) it would be good to mention that as it says a lot about AMG's approach. They feed us with leftovers cause they didn't manage to produce single kit. That's kinda poor.
The other thing is; lack of GT in some regions actually IS a big deal. It's not as simple as just "no official prize support but you can still run a tournament". It is really important for prestige of a tournament to be officially sanctioned. Even if you personally feel otherwise, but with all do respect it's not the first time you showcase lack of knowledge about the tournament circuit and try to create awkward theories around.
Additionally official prizes help to build attendance as they draw a lot of traffic amongst rather casual players which won't be eager to travel further away if it's not local.
I generally have an impression like whatever AMG does or announces; there is not much criticism from your end and you generally try to explain them by desperately looking for "positive things", exagerrating them and therefore creating ilusion that it's alright. So e.g. let's talk about how cool the promos are, but let's omit the fact that these are leftovers which sucks. Listening "maybe it's not that bad" after every ridiculous thing AMG does is not necessarily good.
Your voice is pretty loud in the environment so it would be good if you would be a bit more harsh to AMG when they deserve it to show them even stronger general disappointmentof community. Yeah maybe then Will Schick would not eagerly come to provide interview but maybe it's the price to be paid. "Maybe it wouldn't be that bad" after all 😂

West Coast US got hosed all around.
6 GTs in calgary, and none of them are for xwing or armada. How?
It is a bit deceiving the way they posted it. Basically 2 applications were made for multiple games - Sentry Box and Alberta Classic. I suppose due to venue size, each game will be run on a separate weekend.
Sentry Box did get a confirmation for X-Wing, but it was not listed. We've heard of several others that got confirmation emails and are not listed, from the US, Europe\UK and Canada).
So basically Sentry Box will host: Legion, MCP, Shatterpoint and X-Wing and Alberta Classic will host: Legion, MCP and Shatterpoint
Halfway through the year and a quarter through the Season and still no news for Australia...

I assume they were rushing to get something out before UKGE. Obviously focusing on Europe and NA. I would expect AMG to announce Aus and NZ dates this or next week.
