Improvised trebuchet project

I converted the staff sling I made into a trebuchet! The counterweight was a 35lb
Weight plate and the projectile was a small baseball. It’s built into the ground so the major con is you have to dig 3 post holes wherever you want to set it up which reminds me of how countries would cement their outdated tanks to the ground to guard bases/positions during WW2. The test launches shot the baseball consistently at around 30 feet.
My main concern was functionality rather than performance. It was getting dark and started raining more but I’m eventually going to experiment with adding more weight to see how it affects the performance of the trebuchet. Overall I was satisfied with how it functioned and how everything held up.
