For me, Lovebites are THE Supergroup!! Fantastic musicianship, and as this genre demands, showmanship! Out of character for this 59 yr old man, but I often find myself 'gushing' when trying to describe how I feel about this band to friends! Long may they write and perform such awesomeness!!
I’m 63 years old and have listened to “electric guitar music” since turning teenager…so half a century. My favourite artist is the Lord God Ritchie Blackmore. Until 2020, my favourite group was Rush. Then I happened upon a Lovebites video. Literally within 30 seconds (not exaggerating) I knew this was going to become an obsession. I can’t play music but I recognise great when I see it. The last time that happened was in 84 when I saw the little known Queensryche supporting Dio. 2 songs… instantly became a fan. Lovebites ooze talent from every pore. I type this next line a lot whenever anyone begs the question “is there other stuff like this”. The answer is simple. Every single Lovebites song is a musical masterpiece. Not the odd one. Not even one per album. All of them. They all differ but they could all be any other band’s best ever song. Let me know how many reactions it takes before you agree. Great reaction.
LOL, I am 62 and my journey mirrors yours. Ritchie Blackmore to me looks like my all time favorite artist Jimmy Page. I believe Blackmore actually owned a castle here on Long island at one point that Dee Snider may have owned too? I liked Rush until they started playing so much key boards in their songs. For me, Lovebites is similar to Dream Theater in talent without the key boards. Dream Theater is heavy on the keyboards too but they never become the central thing like they did in Rush. To me DT is more versatile but I am finding Lovebites is rapidly gaining on them for my current favorite band. I only discovered them about 2 months ago and like you said, they are super addicting and I have yet to find one song by them I didn't really like a lot. Until this song, I actually had about 6 LB songs I could call my favorite. If you never listened to DT you should check them out. I bet you will like them from what you said you liked here.
There is so much talent in this group that there is no equivalent in Japan and in the world in this musical sphere. And yet there are very very good and talented bands in Japan and elsewhere but Lovebites is a step above. This band is miraculous. It was already true before the change of the bass player, it is even more true today.
Lovebites came back with a vengeance. Fami on bass is sensational and she is only 20. Midori and Miyako are one of the greatest guitar duos ever, IMO - they are so tight together and play and perform flawlessly. It truly is magical. Asami's vocals on this are super powerful and give me chills. And Haruna is insane on the drums, just relentless speed and power. This whole band is phenomenal and deserves so much more notoriety and attention. Midori has been doing body fitness competitions this past year and took second place in one recently. Midori (blonde jacked guitarist) takes part in Japanese bodybuilding competitions and recently made 2nd place somewhere. The LARPing in the forest is a metaphor: the song is about inner struggles and not running away from them (depression maybe), but fighting them. Supergroup: You could call Lovebites a supergroup of sorts, since they all (except for their new bassist Fami, who had a solo career though) were in bands before Lovebites. Haruna (the drummer) and Miho (the former bassist) were in Destrose, one of the earliest all-female Japanese metal bands that spawned a lot of successful acts today but never went anywhere much before they disbanded--I guess too much of a personnel caroussel. Among fans of Japanese metal, they're well-known though. Miyako was in a melodic hard rock band called 21g (twenty-one grams) which was well-known in Japan, and also in a band called A Drop of Joker and a side project called Sonic Lover Reckless. Midori was in a rather anarchic metalcore band called Gekijo Metalicche, but I don't know how well they were known. Asami was an R'n'B cover singer and rock backup vocalist and was new to metal when she was asked to join Lovebites--but she writes some of their heaviest tracks now, this one here was written partly by her. Both of Fami's basses are from Bacchus (she's an endorser), and the headless one is her signature model. She and drummer Haruna put on a powermetal rhythm section clinic in this one.
@@guitarzen5999 Are you sure? Bacchus/Deviser show a headless Fami signature model on their website, and it looks like the bass in the video. In some shots, you can read the Bacchus logo on the pickguard. I've seen her with a Freedom C.G.R. bass, too...but it was a conventional design with a headstock.
@David K Anderson Yes positive. She is using her Bacchus signature when she's dressed in white in the video. When she's wearing the dark cloak, she's playing the Freedom bass. If you go to her channel, the bass she uses with the head is a Freedom. It's hard to read on the headstock because she's always moving so much but it is a Freedom.
Great reaction. All their songs were so damn good. Any song can be your favorite. They composed and play various genres of metal like, heavy, thrash, progressive, speed, power, ballads and hard rock.
Some say, and I agree, that it just isn't fair that you can collect 5 virtuosos at their craft and create masterpieces like this song. You are correct that they can challenge any metal band of today and yesterday.
If you need a recommendation for a good Lovebites song my advice is to write down their entire repertoire on a piece of paper, close your eyes and stick a pin in it. Then just play the song your pin hits. If you're unlucky it will be an absolute banger but the chances are it will be a masterpiece. That's well over 40 songs and a new album coming out next month. What you won't find is a poor or even average song. These ladies don't do mediocrity.
Try to see them live, go for the thrash songs, Hammer of wrath, Break the wall, Set the world on fire, M.D.O ... Just avoid the bloodstock videos because the sound mix is not so good.

There are not many bands that can even get close to their energy. But, here are two for you to check out: Gacharic Spin (Gotcha Rick) These girls are energy personified then there is Band-Maid. But on with LoveBites. I love these ladies. Miho, the former bassist will be missed, but Fami has definitely stepped up to the plate and knocked the cover off the ball. Haruna is the other founder and plays drums. if you listen closely you will hear her extended kick pattern... I personally think she could out stomp an Ostrich. Midori is the lady on the left with the guitar and guns... She is a competitive bodybuilder and it shows. Miyako is on the other side of the stage with the other guitar, is also a classically trained concert pianist.. At this point, I've stopped trying to determine which one of these two is the lead guitarist. They are BOTH magnificent! Then there is Asami. She has the pipes, that's for sure. I'm not as fond of this live component as I have been of others, because Asami is in such a static position. At their concerts she floats around the stage like the ballerina she trained to be. In this video, considering the shoes she is wearing, I'm glad she doesn't move much. Notice the platform appears to be nearly 6 inches, and I believe the heel would have to be at least 4 to 6 inches more, for the toe point she achieves. What worries me about her shoes is that moving wrong could cause her to fall, if her ankles go left or right, there would be an audible snap akin to a baseball bat breaking. I used to work in "gentlemen's clubs" and saw this happen occasionally. Asami also plays the piano, and probably more. I'm waiting with bated breath for the Judgement Day album/CD/DVD to be released... Feb 22, 2023; the last I read.

Midori the guitarist with muscles takes visits to the gym seriously, she even competed in the late autumn in a fitness/bodybuilding competition and did really well for a first timer.
Midori, the one on the left that got ripped , had a lot of bodybuilder training during the lockdown , while the rest of us were watching Netflix on the couch
Miyako and Asami also gave birth. As a father who has 4 children (grown and gone now) and as someone who did a lot of weight training when they were young, being a new parent is tougher than a couple of hours a day at the gym (which is where I went for some alone time)

Nemophila a are good all round group of musicians who's singer has a unique and exciting sound but they aren't a super group, lovebites however are "ALL" and I include Asami's vocals and both Miho and Fami as well as Haruna Madori and Miyako virtuoso, and that my friends qualifies them as a super group or on another level, the more you hear the more you'll become addicted, I'd recommend you react to any one of 60+ songs cos you won't find a bad 1 anywhere. For me, Lovebites are THE Supergroup!! Fantastic musicianship, and as this genre demands, showmanship! Out of character for this 59 yr old man, but I often find myself 'gushing' when trying to describe how I feel about this band to friends! Long may they write and perform such awesomeness!!
I’m 63 years old and have listened to “electric guitar music” since turning teenager…so half a century. My favourite artist is the Lord God Ritchie Blackmore. Until 2020, my favourite group was Rush. Then I happened upon a Lovebites video. Literally within 30 seconds (not exaggerating) I knew this was going to become an obsession. I can’t play music but I recognise great when I see it. The last time that happened was in 84 when I saw the little known Queensryche supporting Dio. 2 songs… instantly became a fan. Lovebites ooze talent from every pore.
I type this next line a lot whenever anyone begs the question “is there other stuff like this”. The answer is simple. Every single Lovebites song is a musical masterpiece. Not the odd one. Not even one per album. All of them. They all differ but they could all be any other band’s best ever song. Let me know how many reactions it takes before you agree. Great reaction.
LOL, I am 62 and my journey mirrors yours. Ritchie Blackmore to me looks like my all time favorite artist Jimmy Page. I believe Blackmore actually owned a castle here on Long island at one point that Dee Snider may have owned too? I liked Rush until they started playing so much key boards in their songs. For me, Lovebites is similar to Dream Theater in talent without the key boards. Dream Theater is heavy on the keyboards too but they never become the central thing like they did in Rush. To me DT is more versatile but I am finding Lovebites is rapidly gaining on them for my current favorite band. I only discovered them about 2 months ago and like you said, they are super addicting and I have yet to find one song by them I didn't really like a lot. Until this song, I actually had about 6 LB songs I could call my favorite.

There is so much talent in this group that there is no equivalent in Japan and in the world in this musical sphere. And yet there are very very good and talented bands in Japan and elsewhere but Lovebites is a step above. This band is miraculous. It was already true before the change of the bass player, it is even more true today.
Fami's headless bass is a Fami Bacchus signature model. The other bass is a Freedom custom brand.
Lovebites came back with a vengeance. Fami on bass is sensational and she is only 20. Midori and Miyako are one of the greatest guitar duos ever, IMO - they are so tight together and play and perform flawlessly. It truly is magical. Asami's vocals on this are super powerful and give me chills. And Haruna is insane on the drums, just relentless speed and power. This whole band is phenomenal and deserves so much more notoriety and attention. Midori has been doing body fitness competitions this past year and took second place in one recently. great reaction folks and you should reacting more Lovebites. These ladies are world class talents and they deserve worldwide recognition. They don't a lot of MV but their live performance videos are truely awesome. You can pick any genre you like and they will amaze you.
Midori (blonde jacked guitarist) takes part in Japanese bodybuilding competitions and recently made 2nd place somewhere.
The LARPing in the forest is a metaphor: the song is about inner struggles and not running away from them (depression maybe), but fighting them.
Supergroup: You could call Lovebites a supergroup of sorts, since they all (except for their new bassist Fami, who had a solo career though) were in bands before Lovebites. Haruna (the drummer) and Miho (the former bassist) were in Destrose, one of the earliest all-female Japanese metal bands that spawned a lot of successful acts today but never went anywhere much before they disbanded--I guess too much of a personnel caroussel. Among fans of Japanese metal, they're well-known though. Miyako was in a melodic hard rock band called 21g (twenty-one grams) which was well-known in Japan, and also in a band called A Drop of Joker and a side project called Sonic Lover Reckless. Midori was in a rather anarchic metalcore band called Gekijo Metalicche, but I don't know how well they were known. Asami was an R'n'B cover singer and rock backup vocalist and was new to metal when she was asked to join Lovebites--but she writes some of their heaviest tracks now, this one here was written partly by her.

The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese all-female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in Donington (UK) and Download Festival in Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! Over 5 years (2017-2021) they have recorded about 50 original songs and all the songs are very good ! In February 2023, the 4th studio album "Judgement Day" will be released ( + 10 new songs).

🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.

Both of Fami's basses are from Bacchus (she's an endorser), and the headless one is her signature model. She and drummer Haruna put on a powermetal rhythm section clinic in this one.
Actually the headless bass is a Bacchus. The other bass is a Freedom Custom Guitar Reserch bass. Her new 4 string bass is from Freedom as well.
@@guitarzen5999 Are you sure? Bacchus/Deviser show a headless Fami signature model on their website, and it looks like the bass in the video. In some shots, you can read the Bacchus logo on the pickguard. I've seen her with a Freedom C.G.R. bass, too...but it was a conventional design with a headstock.
@David K Anderson Yes positive. She is using her Bacchus signature when she's dressed in white in the video. When she's wearing the dark cloak, she's playing the Freedom bass. If you go to her channel, the bass she uses with the head is a Freedom. It's hard to read on the headstock because she's always moving so much but it is a Freedom.

Great reaction. All their songs were so damn good. Any song can be your favorite. They composed and play various genres of metal like, heavy, thrash, progressive, speed, power, ballads and hard rock.
Some say, and I agree, that it just isn't fair that you can collect 5 virtuosos at their craft and create masterpieces like this song. You are correct that they can challenge any metal band of today and yesterday.
If you need a recommendation for a good Lovebites song my advice is to write down their entire repertoire on a piece of paper, close your eyes and stick a pin in it. Then just play the song your pin hits. If you're unlucky it will be an absolute banger but the chances are it will be a masterpiece. That's well over 40 songs and a new album coming out next month. What you won't find is a poor or even average song. These ladies don't do mediocrity.

There are not many bands that can even get close to their energy. But, here are two for you to check out: Gacharic Spin (Gotcha Rick) These girls are energy personified then there is Band-Maid. But on with LoveBites. I love these ladies. Miho, the former bassist will be missed, but Fami has definitely stepped up to the plate and knocked the cover off the ball. Haruna is the other founder and plays drums. if you listen closely you will hear her extended kick pattern... I personally think she could out stomp an Ostrich. Midori is the lady on the left with the guitar and guns... She is a competitive bodybuilder and it shows. Miyako is on the other side of the stage with the other guitar, is also a classically trained concert pianist.. At this point, I've stopped trying to determine which one of these two is the lead guitarist. They are BOTH magnificent! Then there is Asami. She has the pipes, that's for sure. I'm not as fond of this live component as I have been of others, because Asami is in such a static position. At their concerts she floats around the stage like the ballerina she trained to be. In this video, considering the shoes she is wearing, I'm glad she doesn't move much. Notice the platform appears to be nearly 6 inches, and I believe the heel would have to be at least 4 to 6 inches more, for the toe point she achieves. What worries me about her shoes is that moving wrong could cause her to fall, if her ankles go left or right, there would be an audible snap akin to a baseball bat breaking. I used to work in "gentlemen's clubs" and saw this happen occasionally. Asami also plays the piano, and probably more.
I'm waiting with bated breath for the Judgement Day album/CD/DVD to be released... Feb 22, 2023; the last I read.

Midori the guitarist with muscles takes visits to the gym seriously, she even competed in the late autumn in a fitness/bodybuilding competition and did really well for a first timer.
Midori, the one on the left that got ripped , had a lot of bodybuilder training during the lockdown , while the rest of us were watching Netflix on the couch
Miyako and Asami also gave birth. As a father who has 4 children (grown and gone now) and as someone who did a lot of weight training when they were young, being a new parent is tougher than a couple of hours a day at the gym (which is where I went for some alone time)

You really need to check them out in Thrash mode next, try "Set the World on Fire " live. Also, Nemophila is not a super group, that word gets thrown around too much by people who don't understand what it means.
