From the reactions you’ve done, yeah, I can see how you’d label them as a “Power Metal” band. As your journey progresses, you will find that they’re a “Metal” band, through and through. They do “Power”, they excel at “Thrash”, their “Ballads” are killer, and their “Hard Rock” songs are epic!! Their covers of “Eagle Fly Free” (Helloween) and “Painkiller” (Judas Priest) will blow you away!! Enjoy the journey!! Try “A Frozen Serenade” or “Swan Song” (w/Chopin intro), both live, for your next reaction. Again, they’ll blow you away.
I've been with LOVEBITES since the beginning. I watch them every day. The fact they play the same or better live, is so rewarding. This band has no Peer!
Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES is not limited to power metal. They are a heavy metal band playing thrash, speed, power, progressive metal. LOVEBITES often mix different styles of metal, there are songs in which you will hear the sound of symphonic and neoclassical metal. You will probably be surprised if you find out that classical music sounds at LOVEBITES concerts - piano (S. Rachmaninoff, F.Chopin), acoustic guitars. If you continue your journey into the World of LOVEBITES, then your understanding of this band will expand and you will be surprised many more times. "Addicted", "Set The World On Fire", "Thunder Vengeance", "Winds of Transylvania", "Raise Some Hell", "The Unbroken", "M.D.O.", "Epilogue", "The Awakening"&"The Hammer of Wrath"( must watch together), "Spellbound", "Break the Wall", "A Frozen Serenade","Pledge of the Saviour", "The Crusade", "Liar", "Warning Shot", "Chopin's Étude"&"Swan Song" (must watch together), "Dancing with the Devil", "Glory to the World", "Shadowmaker", "Empty Daydream", "When Destinies Align", "Above the Black Sea", "Bravehearted", "Golden Destination", "Scream for Me", "Don't Bite the Dust", "Today Is the Day", "Edge of the World", "Journey to the Otherside", "Burden of Time", "Mastermind 01", "We the United", "Inspire", "The Apocalypse", "Under the Red Sky", "Signs of Deliverance", "Nameless Warrior", "Eagle Fly Free"( HELLOWEEN cover). - Audio : "Dystopia Symphony", "The Final Collision", "Paranoia", "No Time to Hesitate", "Puppet on Strings", "Painkiller"(JUDAS PRIEST cover).
Thank you so much for appreciating Lovebites. 😊 They are just unique, every lady of the band is a one-off, they are incomparable. And they deliver excellence. 5 young female music professionals, of whom at least 3 are music prodigies. As far as I know, that is without example. They are a once-in-a-generation-phenomenon, in my opinion. 🐺

Akane is a great drummer, but she is in Band-Maid. *_Haruna_* is the drummer for Lovebites (and also the co-founder of the band with original bassist *_Miho_* ). Haruna is a wild-woman on the double kicks, and is known for her constant off-time and accent hits on her Huge cymbal arrangement. Nailed it! You just said the right word. Haruna IS the "Human Metronome". And it is that quality of hers that allows Miyako and Midori to play in unison while standing on the opposite sides of the stage, by having her on their ear-pieces.
Please have a look at their live version of 'Scream For Me'. Fourteen guitar solo's. Two each in the main part of the song, & then five each at the end of the song in battle mode. Backed up by a brilliant rolling drum & bass line. It will knock your socks off. Asami's vocals are sensational, as always.
I enjoy you Lovebites reactions so much.. More please! :) 3:35 Haruna not only this song keeps the tempo like a metronom. She holds a whole 17-18 songs concerts and she never, I mean NEVER miss a beat. The pocket nuke some say... 12:16 If you want to hear them heavy you should react to Break the Wall ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html and listen to the finest thrash metal .. its like best of Slayer+Metallica plus a damn gorgeous middle part of the song.
the deeper you delve into LOVEBITES the more you will realize they don't have one bad song. everything they touch turns to flames. the drummer is haruna and she never stops. the amazing thing about her is how she plays with a minimum of movement but beats her kit to shreds and does not look like she would ever break a sweat. 4 ft. 9 in. of raw power
You mention Floor & Asami singing together, wow, that would be something! They have, sort of, a connection Lovebites CD's and Nightwish CD are mixed & mastered in Finland by the same people: Mikko Karmila / Mika Jussila.
LIVE is where this band truly blows away most others. They practice till it is perfection and one note off in an entire concert gets them upset. There is not a "filler" sing in their catalog, merely epic compared to masterpiece. Miho, ex bassist is responsible for putting this group together. She wanted more of a European band that sang in English and did she ever accomplish her goal. If you want to see just how insane the talent in this band is try Swan Song with the Chopin intro, Empty Daydream or Set the World on Fire. BTW great reaction and LB and Nightwish use the same sound engineers for their recordings!!

Break the Wall, live from Zepp, would be a good one next, if you want an amazing set of solos. I really like Thunder Vengeance, also from Zepp (it's the show opener, and written by Miho, the bassist). It's relentless and full of energy - a great show opener. However, if you want to hear something a little different, try Swan Song (with the Chopin intro) or Frozen Serenade, to see some of what else Miyako can do. The "E" songs have a change of pace, too. Empty Daydream, is the best 80s rock song never to have been released in the 80s. Great vocal harmonies there. Edge of the World showcases Asami's background a bit (as Does Empty Daydream, and also Frozen Serenade, because she used to study ballet). Just an amazing, multitalented band. You can't go wrong with what you choose next.
Lovebites is one of those bands that can take what is a solid song on the album, like Holy War, and turn it into something special live. They can also take a song I consider a masterpiece on the album, like Swan Song or Break the Wall, and when played live turn it into an experience the audience will never forget. As for Floor Jansen and Asami sharing a stage, it was funny enough seeing Lzzy Hale tower over Asami. Floor is a barefoot 6'1" so that would definitely be something to see. They would sound great together.
If Floor and Asami perform together, of course there will be something to see.:) But they are unlikely to sound great. If they perform Lovebites songs, Floor probably just won't have enough breath. Singing in Nightwish is not the same as singing in Lovebites.
@@professorandknowitall Without heels, I doubt Asami quite reaches 5'. My wife is 5'4" (I am 6') and she appreciates the fact that she would be taller than anyone in Lovebites.
The drummer is Haruna!! But since you mentioned Akane, did you know that both of them are friends? 🤘🐺🤘 Love this song, very powerful track, with an awesome solo section!! But i do agree, Judgement Day is a level above. 🔥 This band had already set the bar very high before the hiatus and with these 3 new tracks released so far, they just did it again!! One of the new songs is "Dissonance" sadly there is no video but its a monster of a song!! 🤘😊🎸🔥
Yes, The Crusade ruclips.net/video/0guewPdnrKQ/видео.html was written as a tribute to Aces High, and the old bassist Miho is a great fan of Steve Harris.
Their co - Writer is named Mao & he co - writes with the other members of the band not named Miyako. Miyako has co-written with other members of the band but not Mao, as far as I know. Anyway, ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘
Asami and Floor collab hasn't happened , ...yet. lol Asami HAS joined Halestorm and performed Love Bites (So Do I) , I think it was at a Download festival. There' a video on RUclips.
If you haven't checked out their other song. Just to check out their range Swansong live with Chopin Intro Scream for Me live Daughters of the Dawn Edge of the World live Five of a Kind Winds of Transylvania the music video with anime
If you want to see Judgement Day in live, Lovebites Judgement Day Tour 2023 well be held on August 26 - September 24 (Japan only). I believe they will upload their live tour video through their channel on RUclips just like they did before in live tour in 2020 and 2021.
Just one thing that I like to say about Lovebites is that they don't keep atatched to the power metal label, they do a lot of power metal songs indeed but noy just that, in fact in my opinion their bests songs are the thrash ones, besides of that they play some power balads, tradicional metal, prog and even a little of hard rock stuff.
Perhaps it would be better to refer to MIHO as the *original* bassist (and LOVEBITES founder). BTW, in an early interview (available on YT), the ladies said explicitly they wanted to play music inspired by IRON MAIDEN. The hear the Thrash Metal side of LOVEBITES, check out BREAK THE WALL, RAISE SOME HELL, and SET THE WORLD ON FIRE. “We are Lovebites, and we play Heavy Metal!”
Just a slight correction: "Raise Some Hell" is a great song, but definitely not Thrash Metal! Fully agree on "Break the Wall" and "Set the World on Fire" being Thrash Metal, to which I'll add "The Hammer of Wrath", "M.D.O." and "Thunder Vengeance".
Asami's vocals often remind me of Ian Gillan and David Coverdale in their Deep Purple days. Lovebites is, like all the female Japanese Metal and Rock bands, extremely hard working and practice, practice, practice all the time to ensure their live performances are note perfect. It's a matter of pride not to play a wrong note - or, in the case of Babymetal, not to sing a wrong note while simultaneously performing inch perfect choregraphy - and yet they can all perform while smiling and having fun, as well as being technically perfect. Japanese bands don't do encores because it would imply that the band hasn't already given all they have (though they do keep fan favourite songs until near the end of the show.
Tony, Lovebites do encores!! Check the Live in Tokyo 2020 the encore comes after finishing "the awakening" and the same for the 2021 concert after they finish "Holy war!!" I don't want to get into Coverdale/Gillan as it is your opinion but having seen the two in the 80's and Asami a few years back on tour in the UK, I would beg to differ!! All Japanese bands work hard regardless of gender ie EZO or Wagakki band to name a couple!! You are enthusiastic I will give you that. 😎🤟
Not only does Lovebites do encores, so does Nemophila. I don't think Band-Maid ever does an encore but that is just a band choice, not a Japanese thing. Also, I have been a huge fan of Deep Purple since In Rock in 1970 when I got the 8-track for my 10th birthday. A few past singers from the 80s have popped in my head when listening to Asami but never Gillan or Coverdale from the 70s.
Hard to imagine a song where the styles of Lovebites and Nightwish would overlap. Maybe they should cover something else. Hey, wait: They could sing "The Evil That Men Do" by Maiden together; Floor covered that with her first band After Forever, here is the link: ruclips.net/video/un-el_QSen0/видео.html
Actually, the beginning of "Thunder Vengeance" (not the song itself, though) had me immediately thinking of the beginning of Nightwish's "Bless the Child". And the keyboards starting around the 14-seconds-mark in the studio version of "Holy War" also reminded of the faster songs of Nightwish on "Oceanborn" - maybe also because of their sound.
@@MissLoonasSpeech Yet as far as the singing parts of those songs, I have real difficulty imagining Floor thrash like in Thunder Vengeance or Asami sing the gothic stuff of Bless the Child.
Just because Halestorm doesn't WRITE heavy metal songs, doesn't mean they can't or don't PLAY heavy metal. Here's their great cover of Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" ruclips.net/video/A0eT5yFFSt4/видео.html
It’s about time someone mentioned Asami and Floor in the same sentence. Asami is her equal in my view. Granted she can’t do the operatics per se, but Floor can’t belt like Asami for two hours straight either. I regularly tell new reactors that by about the the fourth or fifth reaction the truth of our comments to date will become obvious. There IS no weak Lovebites track or performance. They’re the best there is and has ever been.
Floor can't sing opera either, she doesn't know the technique of academic vocals. She imitates the opera style by means of ordinary pop vocals. Like all the other (with extremely rare exceptions) vocalists of symphonic metal bands. It's just that when this genre was popular, everyone tried to sing like that. The founder of the genre, Tarja, was indeed a trained classical singer. I think Asami is superior to all these pseudo-operatic vocalists who imitate Tarja. She has developed her own unique vocal style. And I don't know any vocalists like her yet.
ALL LOVEBITES music is released in STEREO, mixed & mastered in Finland specifically for a particular 'sound'. Your video presents their meticulously crafted STEREO music in MONO, significantly altering the sound and EXPERIENCE they work hard to produce. Why? The link in your description is in STEREO.
Woooww sorry to say, Fami's still 20yo, there's a chance for her to be a true metalhead, especially when she joins metal band, but how about Miho, is there a chance to be at the same skill level like Fami? "She will never be a true metalhead like Miho" It's only 3 songs, and this was her debut with LOVEBITES, how could you judge like that? 😂
Sorry but that is simply untrue. Fami's father was a bona fide metal musician and Fami grew up all her life listening to metal. She has metal in her blood. In her interviews she has even said how much she identifies with the metal of Lovebites. She is a metalhead to the core and to blithely state that she will "never" be a "true" metalhead is elitist nonsense.
From the reactions you’ve done, yeah, I can see how you’d label them as a “Power Metal” band. As your journey progresses, you will find that they’re a “Metal” band, through and through. Their covers of “Eagle Fly Free” (Helloween) and “Painkiller” (Judas Priest) will blow you away!! Enjoy the journey!! LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
SOLO: midori
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
SOLO: miyako / midori / both
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

@@dymyavalor6135 Thanks! I needed a good laugh today
That would be awesome!! My wife is 6’0 so the height difference would just seem normal for me!😂😂
@@professorandknowitall Without heels, I doubt Asami quite reaches 5'. My wife is 5'4" (I am 6') and she appreciates the fact that she would be taller than anyone in Lovebites.
😂
The drummer is Haruna!! But since you mentioned Akane, did you know that both of them are friends? 🤘🐺🤘
Love this song, very powerful track, with an awesome solo section!! But i do agree, Judgement Day is a level above. 🔥
This band had already set the bar very high before the hiatus and with these 3 new tracks released so far, they just did it again!!
One of the new songs is "Dissonance" sadly there is no video but its a monster of a song!! 🤘😊🎸🔥
Yeah I have been learning so much that Inswitched the names. My bad, but love them both!
4:47 - *_Iron Maiden_* ? Watch Lovebites - The Crusade (Official Video)
Aces High? Yep!
When the formed during their rehearsals they performed the Halestorm song and they decided that this is the sound or vibe they were after
Asami and Floor collab hasn't happened , ...yet. lol
Asami HAS joined Halestorm and performed Love Bites (So Do I) , I think it was at a Download festival. There' a video on RUclips.
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you haven't checked out their other song. Just to check out their range
Swansong live with Chopin Intro
Scream for Me live Daughters of the Dawn
Edge of the World live Five of a Kind
Winds of Transylvania the music video with anime
They are on the list!
If you want to see Judgement Day in live, Lovebites Judgement Day Tour 2023 well be held on August 26 - September 24 (Japan only). I believe they will upload their live tour video through their channel on RUclips just like they did before in live tour in 2020 and 2021.
Hoping for copyright forgiveness, because we will be on that!
Dissonance is the next Level to hear then 🙂
From a video of another concert, Asami held the final note of this song much longer.
She is mind-boggling much like the entire band
Gotcha
Love *_SLAYER_* ? React to *Lovebites - Break the Wall*
Akane=band-maid
Haruna=lovebites
Named after Hailstorm song, not the band it's self.
They kick ass.
More King Gizzard and Dirty Honey? OK I sub now.
Yeah! Learning so much at once can get my brain overloaded 😂😂
Miyako guitar,piano,
Midori guitar
Haruna Drums
Asami singer
Miho basist,she left august 2022.
Now basist is Fami
Lovebites and Nightwish were both at Wacken in 2018... not the same stage but damn, that would have been sweet. Prost !
Talking about Floor singing with someone, you should check her feat with Simone from Epica - Sancta Terra.
😁
You need to react to Lovebites Burden Of Time. Miyako plays Guitar and the keyboard at same time.
Next Lovebites song: "Today is the Day" Live!
Haruna...... Akane is. BAND MAID'S. METRONOME 🤟🤟🔥🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🦧🍌🙏
I'm pretty sure the live version of The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath is the start of an encore. You actually see the ladies walk back on stage.
Check out Thunder of Vengeance
Music and lyrics by Miho with Mao.
"she's another level"... How can you tell by just a MV and 2 songs? Fami may be talented, she will never be a true metalhead like Miho.
Woooww sorry to say, Fami's still 20yo, there's a chance for her to be a true metalhead, especially when she joins metal band, but how about Miho, is there a chance to be at the same skill level like Fami?
"She will never be a true metalhead like Miho"
It's only 3 songs, and this was her debut with LOVEBITES, how could you judge like that?
