This game was a blast and I don't care what the critics say. Pure fanservice mixed with ridiculously fun (co-op!) scripted moments. And the soundtrack! Ah!
Leon proved he could fight an enhanced foe in close-quarters effectively on his own. While I wouldn't equate Krauser with Wesker, there is that. I'm aware of the beta and how it worked compared to the final game, but the free melees were more along the lines of what they ended up using in ORC rather than 6. That being said, the options to roll away in 6, counter an enemy's attack, or trip them up by sliding into their feet really did add to the game.
Hearing this amazing song gave me a great sense of gaming accomplishment after spending hours on this game. It's going to be one of those sounds I hear when I associate good times with the Resident Evil series. I love Leon!

I swear, once i saw the credits i was so happy for only one thing and one thing only.....Simmons was Finally DEAD!!!! I mean seriously....not only does he get -A headshot -Run over by a Train -Burned to death -Shot by a set of turrents, and a Helicopter and some explosions -Gets eaten by Zombies -Get a Lighting bolt on his head -A Rocket in the face he then finally dies by getting pinned after falling over a thousand feet from the air. I swear, the last chapter was really REALLY annoying.
Thank you. So many seem ignorant of the fact that Chris = former Air Force, then police, then BSAA while Leon = former RPD, then Special Ops, then DSO. He started out a little below Chris' level, but still survived Raccoon City, then went on to become a government agent. He does pretty much what Chris does, but without a team of armed men at his back. RE: Damnation makes that pretty clear.
Right, because obviously the world will never recover from the loss of less than 0.0006% of its population and as such should be abandoned in pursuit of vengeance against someone who we don't even know for certain was actually involved with any of the events of the series and who may or may not even be alive at this point, after this game had already made a point of showing that Chris's hunt for revenge was a contributing factor to many of the deaths in the game to begin with.
people who claim to be fans of the franchise and end up talkin' shit about the newer games aren't fans at all, me, i have no reason to hate it or stop playing it from 1 to 6, ORC included, the story is really gripping to me and i think the story is all that matters, graphics and gameplay aren't really my bag, real or pixel graphics, i'll still play it, but the story is what made the RE series, survival/horror also, but they gotta let the fact that survival/horror is hardly there, go. evolution

RE6 is the peak of the TPS genre and i don't see any game getting up there in any foreseeable future. REmake 4 really does not give me hope for anything, it just further reinforced my belief that the people working on RE now are hacks and just don't understand these games. The mechanics that were implemented are all dumbed down parodies of the previous ones while on the story and presentation side of things it's filled with the same tripe as their other recent projects. Dude don't even get me started on """""RE"""" 7 and 8. What an absolute piece of shit and of course all the secondaries bought that slop in droves.

Piers did something Chris would never have done. It's what I thought Redfield would do in 5 in order to defeat Wesker. Nivans injecting himself was noble and self-sacrificing, and while Chris is headstrong and determined, there's no way he'd ever turn himself into a BOW to save the world. Leon - maybe, if there was literally no other choice. But I think the RE heroes have gotten too successful for their own good in a few ways. Piers was a newcomer and only saw one out, then took it.
And people say Chris and Piers had it worse fighting Haos...they ran into him at the end of their last chapter. Simmons dogged Leon Helena across their 4 and 5, and like you said, refused to die. It's too bad they've chalked Wesker up as being permanently dead - I'd have loved to see him fight a fellow non-dying bastard like Derek.
The original storyboards referred to Chris using a Harrier to destroy Wesker when he was still set to work solo. Additionally, you're selling Krauser very short. He wasn't just enhanced physically, he was also a trained special forces operative who knew Leon's combat style. Alexia was a spoiled brat that was fresh out of a cryo-tube and wasn't even close to her full potential, defeated by a plot device (Linear Launcher) the same way that Wesker was suddenly vulnerable to some serum.

Chris was expected to perform gymnastic feats across rooftops. In some ways, it would have been more isolated and could have actually featured horror elements, but in others, it would have gone just as over-the-top as any other recent entry. Plus, how the HELL would he have beaten Wesker solo? From RE 1 to CV to LIN, he always lost.

For some odd reason, this song reminds me of the old Resident Evil. Back when Wesker wore a turtle neck shirt and a black suit. Back when Ada was in a dress. Back when Chris wasn't built rediculously muscular (honestly, ever since RE5 he's had man boobs). I miss those games. I miss them all! ......but mostly Wesker. :)

Krauser was improved in terms of durability and killing potential, but he's not anywhere near the advanced foes that Chris has faced. If Leon went up against Alexia, or even the same game's Wesker, he would still be under the same limitations as far as gameplay and over the top actions are concerned. IOW he would get shitwrecked, probably just like Chris. I'm not seeing anything about free melee anywhere, and I mentioned the beta link because they described how Chris would fight Wesker.

Chris Suck, for me Leon IS the Main RE character and most skilled. He suvived Raccon City,He kicked ass alone in RE4,Hes more skilled in Solo fight. But Chris never can fight without a partner cuz if that was in the case Albert Wesker would have kicked his ass easily but he Managed to kill him cuz HE HAD A PARTNER. Leon killed many bosses and Krauser alone i am sure he would have made a badass fight with Wesker

He needed a partner to take down Wesker, okay, but by that point Wesker had gone above and beyond superhuman, outclassing anything Leon ever stumbled his way through. Leon would not have survived Resident Evil 2 without Ada or Claire and the sooner we exclude Resident Evil 4 from canon, the better we'll all be. Face it, Leon is a schmuck who stumbles through most of his games and possesses the uncanny ability to think with his dick, like the time Annette Birkin exposed Ada as a spy, and Leon, having known her for all of an hour or two, replies with "That's not true, I KNOW her!" What a dipshit. He's a world class goober and Chris is better as a protagonist in every way.
