What a good girl she's being! Being a former "pet" groomer, I totally appreciate how good she's being! Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it. Good luck to her in the show ring as well! 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial! The way you described where to place your lines based on the anatomy 1000 fold improved my trim on a clients pup! There is always new and different ways to learn and your teaching method clicked for me! Thank you again!
As a newer groomer I do find doing show cuts “the right way” much harder then finding videos such as yours that not only teach us the “right way” but some little things to do as well! I love the fact that everyone has their own way of doing things! Thank you also for showing all of us that yes we all have off days and screw up the straight line. As a newer groomer doing Standand Poodles do you have any tips that you believe would help me I’m still doing about 13 hours for these show cuts and would love to really do it right the first time
Aww your lucky your dog has adult hair. My girl still has puppy hair. Can you show how to cut the clip to shorten the torso? My toy is a purebred but but her body is very long. Your dog looks compact/proportional. When I do the cut it makes her look even longer. But I'm a noob still learning. Thanks
You're an excellent groomer. Your scissoring is really good. What shears are you using. They seem to cut like butter. I tried this cut on my Standard for the first time. I've never done this type of cut before. Where I work, We do mostly pet cuts. I love watching you groom. I'll try this cut again. When my dogs hair grows back. I made a few mistakes. When it happens. I'll come back and watch this again. Sorry so long. Just wanted to let you know. How awesome you are 😁❤️🤗
I have a standard poodle same color as this beautiful pup. But her fur isn't as soft. What kind of shampoo or spray do I use for her? I use vibrant life dog shampoo.
Poodle coat should not be super soft. It should be very tight curls with harsher guard hairs that are usually darker in color. I believe there are links to shampoo in the description. If not let me know and I will fix when I get back from vacation
Is there a specific age when they can go from puppy cut to lamb cut? I love seeing the Pom Pom on tails and head. I dislike the short cut ears as well.
Not really. It holds up better after they have gone through chat change and gotten more curly and better texture. That's usually between 10-18 months old😁
So I was just doing a random search for the HCC and just heard in the video you are in Jacksonville FL! I am too! (Crazy odds) do you teach enthusiastic owners or just professional groomers? I'd love some one on one help with my HCC

Ahh the historically correct toy poodle.

My service poodle always acts weird after I shave his back legs and rear. It’s hilarious.
😁 my standard chased his rear for a week years ago the first time I did it. Lol

Kidney patch is not optional in AKC. Shows.
It is in UKC which is where I show. Thank you for the correction. 😁
