  • ♫ Guitar playthrough (with tabs) of the main theme from 'Wild ARMs 1' (1996) - a classic RPG game for the PS1. I've also covered • Wild ARMs - ‘What You'... and • Wild ARMs - ‘Adlehyde ... .
    Tuning: EADGBe
Trivia: The excellent soundtrack incorporates 'Wild West' themes, even adapting an melody from Ennio Morricone's 'Ecstacy of Gold'.

Cards on the table - I'm not the greatest whistler. I gave it a go for this track though, as it's an essential element of the song (although there's no way I'm hitting those high notes). I aim to upload one cover every month. What would you like to hear next?

I used to turn on this game before school just to hear the intro. Great job!

Same here! I revisited it recently and actually got past the first few areas this time lol. What stood out to me the most was the exceptional soundtrack, which I was inspired to learn and perform. Another piece I really liked was the one that plays in Aldehyde Castle.

I have a question here, maybe you can provide some help. :)
I always wanted to learn guitar (i am 34 years old), yet I never could. The inspiration came from songs like this as a kid/teen. But I want to give it a go now and will buy a guitar soon. Yet being an absolute bloody beginner, I want to ask: Is it a very difficult song or will I perhaps be able to play it "kindaish" down a few weeks/months?
I have no idea, how difficult this (or any) song can be and you look quite talented. Thanks for sharing this piece. :)

Hey! Thanks for your comment. I would say that aside from a couple of tricky sections (1:50), the chords and lead parts of this song are relatively easy, and you should be able to play it within 6-12 months. Get a backing track / guitarist to play the chords while you do the lead part and and you're away. Good luck with learning the guitar. Let me know if you have any cover requests.

@@BlackSailPass_GuitarCovers Thanks for this very kind reply. How long do you actually play already? :)

@@cichoriumintybus4637 I've played for about 15 years. One of the most helpful things in the early days was an 8-track recorder - I could play chord sequences against a click and then try soloing over the top of it. This is good practice for playing in a group and helps to develop your composition.
Edit: Something like the 'Boss Micro BR'.

What guitar is it and what other one do you recommend that has an affordable price but excellent sound for making covers like this?

I can't advise on which guitar to buy, but I use...
      - Morris acoustic guitar
      - Schecter electric guitar
      - Harley Benton bass guitar
You can probably get away with a standard steel string acoustic or Fender electric; the important thing is to buy an audio interface like Scarlett 2i2 so you can DI into Logic or similar.
