The Bandai Swords of Revealing Light staying on the field is how spells worked in the old game. This is a holdover as to why that card isn't a continuous spell when we get the Konami version.
technically spells used to stay on the field unless they specifically said they go to the gy in the OCG prior to a rules change (this all happened prior to the TCG)
When this happens, breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth, 4-6 times. Adrenaline dumps like that build up, normally you'd move about a bit to offset your blood pressure. It becomes second nature eventually and little bs jumpscares like that turn hilarious.
I recently picked up Duel Monsters for GB. It's bizarre how some of the art is exactly the same as in modern cards, but others are completely different. I particularly like the art for Dragoness the Wicked Knight, I think they should have kept that art for the Konami release.
With all the weird shit konami has been doing with the new Illusion type monsters, i could see smthese obscure weirdoes coming to the tcg as an Illusion type archetype.
I want these cards. Especially the Blue-Eyes that is chained from the Toei movie. Such a classic. Maybe it can be a Rush Duel Maximum card. But first, Konami, where the Armor Monsters?
I don’t play Yugioh anymore but I do have 1 deck. It’s Blue-Eyes turbo Exodia deck. It’s a FTK Exodia deck and I use Bandai cards in it. I play the deck like Solitaire.
Sitting here smoking while I watch this video. It starts to rewind. When it stops it automatically cuts to an ad for Ray Band Reverse glasses. All types of conspiracy theories went through my head 🤣🤣🤣🤣
we somewhat got armored basic insect with the card "Bio-Insect Armor" EDIT: just looked into dragonic pulse of the land, in the anime it gives a dragon 300atk. no clue what happened when it got made into a Bandai card.
Cool facts my dude. This is a topic not many touch upon. It would be cool if those lost cards make the jump to the official game since Konami recently has been releasing game exclusive monsters to the TCG so who knows what will happen down the line.
I'd even be happy if they imported all of these cards together as an archetype of some sort, just call them Caspule Monsters. 🤷♂️ And even the Bandai cards could receive the same treatment.
Technically, there was a Spell Card called "Wicked Chain", but that was a part of the 3-Body Connection Blue-Eyes from the series, so I discounted both. I supposed it could be seen as a pre-cursor Blue-Eyes Fusion in a way.
@@burblebineabbletv so technically the totally not supposed to be dragon support was not the only unique spell/trap. I'm actually working on a custom archetype focused on the lost Bandai cards.
@@burblebineabbletvand now you will hate what I made of Wicked Chain. It is a Continuous Spell that Targets 3 monsters with "Bandai World"(the one card that I'm tying the archetype around) in their effect upon activation. These targets gain ATK equal to the current ATK of each of the other targets. Also, each target cannot be removed from the field until the Wicked Chain is dealt with. Luckily you can only control 1 of these at a time or else it would get insane having three at a time targeting the same 3 monsters. I based this effect off of the "Lore" listed on Wicked Chain from Bandai. Also, Dragon Decks will hate retrained Bandai Dragon Capture Jar now called Dragon Capturing Jar.
There were! With the Bandai set, there were 8 character cards with unique effects, but I didn't include those as lost cards because the modern game doesn't have an equivalent to it. But some pointed out that the Skill Cards in Speed Duel are a close comparison

Yes, they were all physically printed. The second set of cards were only obtainable through purchasing the video games. The Bandai sets all had their own individual releases, like how we get TCG/OCG sets. The Bandai cards are fairly pricey as individual cards. There are a scarce amount of sealed booster packs from the Bandai game available online and OH BOI, imma need to take out a loan for them 😅

I looked behind me and there was a lightly played Dark Beginning 1 Enchanted Javelin. Thanks!
Always happy to help! 🤙
The monster 'Runner Lizard' looks kinda a bit like 'Obsidian Dragon'.
Both monsters in their art have similar poses, are level 4 and share 800 ATK.
feel like the dont look behind you thing was a little uncalled for
Don't be afraid

Glad to see breed and battle mentioned, Its aways forgotten 😢
800 atk boost was huge at that point in time if that field spell was in the tcg i think it would have seen play a lot
Absolutely!
Basic insect with armor was released as a monster.
Eh, I don't consider that a true release of the Bandai version. It's kinda cool, though 🐛 🪲
@@burblebineabbletv okay it is still a nice reference
4:46 So thats were they got the idea for Maximum summon... I like to think we have come full circle and its funny too lol
Wouldn't the Skill Cards from Speed Duels be an equivalent to the character cards?
That's what I thought too

For those cards with wonky stats I'd love to see them just directly imported to Rush Duels.

wasnt blue-eyes ultimate dragon various parts the inspiration for that multiple-card boss monsters in rush?

King Rex = Cybersaurus - Blast Juggler.
I was thinking it looked more like an evolved formed of Uraby, but your guess looks a lot closer to it now that I think about it 👍
I thought this was going to be about the vanilla monsters from the first few japanese sets that we did not get in the tcg.
I might do a video on those too 🤷♂️
