    Hi Darryl, i pre order a Leica M5 🤩
I'm so happy but i'm a little bit worried about the compatibility.
Which lens is compatible with the leica M5? The 7 artisans 50mm f1,4? Or the 50mm f1,1? 🤔
    Thanks for your answer!

Hi Robin, I would go with the 50mm f1.4 its a really nice lens and will not block much of the viewfinder unlike the f1.1 lens

You said the bokeh is a little busy. Often on these faster lenses the bokeh is greatly improved by stopping down one stop (sometimes even half a stop)
Did you look at the bokeh when the lens was stopped down just a little?

It's pretty easy to understand. Leica is a luxury brand the value is its exclusivity. TT artisan don't have that brand identity. You don't pay for the name. Leica sell you a $900 lens for $5000 because it's a status symbol. TT Artisan sell you $200 lens for cheap, because that's their brand.

Another great video per usual Darryl. I don't own any of the TTArtisans lenses, yet. I own a few 7Artisans lenses for my Fuji kit but have been looking seriously at the TTArtisans lenses for my Voigtlander Bessa camera. Something to consider when comparing these lenses to Leica lenses, there's a strong possibility that Leica lenses are priced too high and overvalued. I say this because if you hadn't created this video and offered your perspective on these TTArtisans lenses, most people and I mean most including the Leica fanboys would have never known you didn't make these photos with a Leica lens. Honestly, I refuse to purchase Leica M mount lenses. The old Minolta's, Konica, and the newer 7Artisans and TTArtisans are more than good enough to make fantastic photographs. Love your channel. Keep bringing the content.

@@DarrylCarey That's good. Thanks. I have an M3, M9 and M240 and will probably use it most on the M240. I have a 0.95 Nocti that is almost 11 years old but much as I love it I find it too heavy for a long day on the streets. My 50 Cron is super sharp but the aperture ring is loose and has no click at all - maybe it needs servicing. And I find the hood a bit loose and tacky. So seeing the TTArtisan on sale here in Hong Kong for HK$2880 it was really a no brainer to try. That's USD370!!!! If it is good it could become my 50 street lens. I usually shoot with a 35 Lux or Cron but have been edging back to 50mm recently. BTW I am not a Leica addict - I have a load of Fuji gear and their lenses are superb. If you want to have fun stick a Noctilux on a Fuji body using an M adapter. People look at it and think I'm crazy but it's a great combo.
