    I can see the fascination with the Darjeeling from these. A steam loco working hard for its living day on day. A Crew of 5 and great railway work..

      Yes. The line still runs and steam is still used alongside a few diesels. They're struggling to keep it open though and need more visitors. I urge you to try to get there! ........ Andy

    Hi, what a great video! I'm working on a documentary about a small steam museum in the UK, would I be able to use a short clip from this video at all??

    • @AndyDandanFisherSteam
      @AndyDandanFisherSteam  2 года назад

      Hi Alex. Unfortunately, this particular video is not mine to allow use. It was recorded by a friend of mine who gave me permission to use it on RUclips. If you take a look at my own videos of the Darjeeling you may find something suitable for your own use. This is my India playlist - ruclips.net/p/PLNKEdhmODMJww1jGexEkc8MAu44uTSlvy
      Please look at anything that is not marked as "Ingall Collection". If you find anything useful, then let me know and we can talk about it ..... Andy

    Hi Andy from time to time I share my school days memories when as a young boy in the mid 50s I used to travel from Siliguri up to Kurseong to my boarding school by the Toy Train and in this respect I would be very much obliged if you would give me permission to use a Two minute sequence of your video to show in my posts what the Toy train looks like in action. I will of course give full credit to you and promote your brilliant videos.

      Where do you intend to show the video? On RUclips? ... Andy

      @@AndyDandanFisherSteam Thanks for your reply. I do not intend to show it on RUclips. ONLY on "Facebook posts" on the very odd occasions when a question about school days memories are mentioned on a post and I therefore would like to attach perhaps a 30 second sequence to show a Toy Train in action. As I said I will be happy to give you credit and direct them to your wonderful RUclips videos to enlighten them on these amazing trains which still run today.

      Goethals Memorial School Kurseong. this is the boarding school I went to in the mid 50s and all the students are still in touch from around the world and a local group of old boys meet once a month in Calcutta. I am sure they would be extremely interested in seeing your You Tube videos, the Toy train of course played a big part in our youth. Although, I live in the UK I have been traveling back to India on a regular basis for 50 years and still visit my old school whenever possible. When I talk to the train drivers I'm from Goethals Memorial School and about the old days I often get a free ride. Just a little background of my enthusiasm and attachment to the Toy Train.
