We can vouch for every word you say about Hamlets pies,we're lucky enough to live in Garstang and use this shop regularly, but its not only pies,its a butchers as well,the meat is absolutely first class,and their sausages are to die for.
@nipper44I saw a load of nice meats and sausages etc on the counter when l went in....all looked first class....by the way, Garstang is lovely. Cheers nipper.

There didn’t seem a great deal of difference in the mince steak and the meat and potato pie filling, I would have preferred the latter to have chunks of steak and potato rather than mince, but it’s all the taste really. Great pork pie I’d give that a 10 ! 👍

Beans pies on Cleveleys main street nr the beach have been open for over an hundred years. Victoria Rd I think. My dad used to go there whenever we visited gran + gramp there. Their meat and potato is probably even today the best in Britain. Scott formerly from Darwen lancs😊
James I think you will agree the pastry is to die for nice and thin, recommend buying hot ones , travelling from Morecambe you need a bag full, 10 points all day long

Rumour has it that someone used to organise coach trips from Wigan on a pilgrimage to Hamlets pie shop ! Now ,there's an idea for a two week holiday " two week tour of the best pie shops in the UK ! . " Could be a PhD in it !
