The footage of the last goodbye between the Queen and her father broke my heart… he looked so sad and it looked like he might have known it was the last time 😔😔

One of world's best leaders the Commonwealth of the west has never been steered wrong by her ... She had a terrible year last year I'll never forget she lost her husband she would need a year or two at least to get that heartbreak better... My grandma still waits to see my grandad in heaven... she is a queen. And we do not know in the privacy of his room what he will have cried and the pain he will carry in his soul. Life goes on and she has a lot of work to do and a big family.
When she's holding him as a baby Charles seems to be looking elsewhere... Maybe to his nanny. Nannies do fall in love with their charges. I used to babysit children from 6weeks til time for preschool , 3-4 years old. One time a little boy got sick and was in hospital. He kept crying for mammaw. He kept pushing everyone else away. They called me and I went and stayed for several days at hospital with him and his mother. She quit working so much after that and spent a lot more time with him to help their bond. After that I talked about their parents a lot during the day and didn't d my best to kind of seperate myself. The love was still there but I made myself second choice. I saw the little boy at the store when he was 20. He hadn't seen me for awhile. He was in military gear and I was so proud. My heart felt like it was bursting with love and pride. He was so happy to see his mammaw. We gave him a party before he left. I was so honored by all "mammaws"babies .

I wonder if the queen knowing that her life is moving towards it’s close, ever watches these films just to look at her life and see herself and Phillips life as it was. I know we all have memories but to see yourself on film as you looked in the past is so nostalgic. I of course only have a few old 8 mm films to look at from the 60’s and 70’s and then VHS videos in the 80’s and 90’s and pictures..............but wow her whole life is caught on film!

I think I actually learned something new in this piece. The Queen does not have a natural smile. Her countenance is like that of her grandmother. She has to purposefully smile. I would say, as a child, she had a beautiful natural smile and wore it well.

Monarchy is a very expensive form of government. The ruling family acquires great wealth. While the country receives little from this form of government. The Monarchy becomes a tourist attraction which produces some income for the country. The royal family errs of course and produces legal/moralproblems such as indicated by Prince Andrew's legal troubles and the Prince Harry situation.

Prince Philip was very dashing when he was younger
The queen is the strength of his family. Although her children.went through crisis in their lives she still love not as a queen but as a mother. The public may criticing her.children especially Prince Andrew he is still his son. I feel such compassion for the Queen. She literally gave everything to protect her position and Country and yet has suffered heartbreak at the hands of those she gave life to. All of her sacrifice and yet in the end, to get what they wanted, her and all she had given became the sacrifice. There was no regard to all she had given as long as those wrapped in scandal got what they wanted. She has had to hide grief, worry, pain and great sorrow.. Even when it was the loss of her Father, Mother, Sister and own Husband and selfish decisions and desires of her own children.

The title is somewhat misleading....
I found out in my genealogy that Diana is my 11th cousin. Even though I am so far in relation and I will never know anyone from that side of my faimly, I liked the documentary until they started criticizing Diana it was very untasteful. I have to wonder if the Queen would agree with any of what these people say about her.
0:52 Birthright is defined as "a particular right of possession or privilege one has FROM BIRTH, especially as an eldest child" so while you could say it was Queen Elizabeth's *destiny* to become queen, and while it was her birthright to be *in the line of succession* it was most certainly not her birthright to actually *be* queen. When she was born there was no indication that either she or her father would ever become the reigning monarch. No indication that Edward VIII wouldn't find a 'suitable' bride and have children. Elizabeth was born in 1926. Edward VIII didn't even MEET Wallis Simpson until 1931.
But Edward abdicated his position of King, due to marrying a divorced woman. Then king feel on George, unfortunately he died early. Which fell on the George’s oldest child. Edward left by choice. When her father became King, Elizabeth and other royal family members thought she would have more time being a princess, wife and mother.
Any Royal family is in line of succession, the lineage all have the birthright. Unless a member abdicates the position.

Princess Elizabeth had been given her name for a reason, King George V knew in her Britain had a chance of a 2nd Great Elizabethan age.

I just watched a small excerpt from the doc the RF participated in back in the 60s. The family was a lot like you and I with our own families in their downtime and while I enjoyed watching it, with as busy as she usually is, she should be able to enjoy and keep her private moments all to herself (especially when those times likely didn’t come around too often). She is too sweet and I imagine she has an amazing sense of humor as well ❤️. I don’t think she wanted to participate as much as it was strongly suggested as a kind of PR move to allow people to see, over and above being the monarch, that she also had a family with whom she loved, spent time with and interacted with them in much the same way that we do. I understand she allowed them to be viewed once by “her people” and then had the films kept under lock and key. I hope she is able to enjoy them as a sort of home movies so that she can remember the fun family times 😊

With the good, she also offers those up to her God, with her thanks, at 95yrs old, she knows that those things balance out the bad, & from that the good things seem far better, because they number greater than the bad. It's like that spoonful of sugar, that takes the nasty taste of the medicine away.
