- Namaste, Bajaj and Triumph are now ready with their first jointly developed bike of 400cc, the speed 400. With just Rs 2, 33,000 ex-showroom this looks amazing on paper and for first 10,000 customers there is a discount of Rs 10,000 each. Not just that, in a joint conference, Bajaj and Triumph said that the scrambler 400x will be launched soon and a cafe racer version will follow. Watch this video to know more about the features, engine specs, wheels etc.

This is a perimeter frame and not cradle frame which would have been visible clearly underneath the engine.

I remember when it was rumoured in 2019 that Bajaj/Triumph collab will launch it's first bike in 2021 but things got delayed and we were never sure if this will happen but here we are with these two beautiful rides

This one is banger. They nailed it on every front. Looks, pricing. Knowing triumph, I m sure performance will be bang on as well. I hope RE brings their quality, looks n finish with international standards, won't mind paying a premium for that. It's a real shame to see that beautiful 650cc engine surrounding shitty components.

Not sure if anyone noticed, the front mud guard of the scrambler looks odd, looking like it's touching the tyre at the front. Gap is not uniform like the Street one...
because it was made for 17inch wheels and not for 19inch wheels...

Triumph set the quality/pricing so stratospherically high, the upcoming RE 650 derivatives, including the 450 and its derivatives should be priced extremely competitively for the quality offered by RE. RE should price their offerings even more competitively..

Everything is bang on 🔥 but the only thing I slightly worried about is the cost of ownership (spares + service)

Even though I have RE i am so happy that triumph and Harley have launched their bikes in this segment and with the budget price point...RE must be biting their nails...this is how you not just end the competition but literally destroy it...for long RE had monopoly and for that reason their dealers were rude too and also for the same reason they were making their bikes expensive and cutting the important features. I will just sell my RE meteor and get this one...why wait when you get 400cc in this price point
Here are my questions.
1) how intuitive are the switches and functions?
2)how is the ride quality? Firm or plush
3)how much vibration is felt on the foot pegs,tank, and handlebar ?
4)how big is the turning radius ?
5) does the engine run very hot ?
6)what is the actual gps or vbox measured topspeed?
7)how smooth and precise is the gearbox ?
8) how light is the clutch feel compared to cb350?
9)is this e20 fuel ready?
10) how good is the headlight throw?
11)and finally give ur rating on NVH level out of 10.

Game changer for sure! 2.3L for a triumph with that quality, looks and reliability! Bike should do well! Looks really well! Exhaust note a little meh! But agar ride quality is super, then bang on stuff! 💯
Yeah the Harley 440 has much better sound. Though it's not as good power.
I prefer the "true sound" of the Triumph over Harley, which is trying too hard to fake it with unnecessary, ugly and inefficient silencer design.

Not saying the Harley is better. That competes more with the RE 350 range. The triumphs compete with the ktm duke 390 etc

I notice many Indians expressing their boycott of products from Chinese companies like QJ motors. However, Triumph, being a British company, raises an interesting point. The British were once our colonial rulers for decades. Where is the same level of patriotic fervor? Where are the calls for boycotting British products? Some may argue that Triumph motorcycles are manufactured in India. Nevertheless, it retains the heritage of a British company. The presence of a quarter of British flag on the tank further emphasizes this connection.
"made by Bajaj" Indian govt keep Cars and bikes in premium goods and impose highest import tax on them. Therefore these foreign companies either open their manufacturing plants or Invest in Joint Venture giving employment to Indians.

About time we had some competition. Royal enfield prices are going up due to demand. Triumph needed this range. We needed this range.

Honda CB350 H'ness OR this Speed 400? Very confusing, I was planning to get CB350 next week.

However speed 400 is also good one but I would still prefer CB 300r over it if you can buy it go for it. Because very light weight I am not that guy who wants very heavy bikes. Also as far as speed 400 is concerned I am not sure about the reliability, but I am damn sure about the reliability Honda.

Please make a short video when hazard lights should be turned on. I have seen people driving vehicles with hazard lights on during fogs, rains even on sunny days. I have heard that it should be turned on if you are driving slow on highways.

I still pity some people who argue the engine to be the same as the new KTM-Bajaj 400cc engine.
All triumph classics have the right side chain drive as the same goes with speed 400, and the engine is 390+ cc. However, people still compare this with the same as KTM and bajaj 373cc and left side chain drive engine. They're so informed that they don't believe the manufacturers facts and their's own eyes.
