I personally find it's much closer to the acoustic version Shaun plays to play the chords Make sure to mute the Xs. Because the full chords like A personally don't sound accurate, yes it's the right chord technically, but muting that other string sounds MUCH more accurate to me. Shaun even claims not to be an amazing guitar player, and given his type of music influence, muted power chord like versions of chords are pretty common. Your lesson is totally accurate but I find it doesn't capture the same sound, which is fine, you DO give other chord options which is GREAT and helpful but I felt the need to share what I feel sounds closest to Shaun's solo version. I've watched him play it like a lot, and don't often see him do the A5 on the E string. I usually see the Asus2 played like a power chord. Letting the other notes ring just doesn't get the same sound. But thanks for the lesson :) So here's what I've found sounds the best. F#5 - 244XXX A5 - X022XX E - 0221XX D5 - XX023X F#5 - 244XXX D5 - XX023X B5 - X244XX E - 0223XX

They probably got that really heavy sound with a baritone. Baritones are generally tuned to B standard aka 5 half steps down from E standard. I have a cool 1966 Howard 27” scale length baritone solid body electric from japan that has these 4 big beefy single coils with individual on/off switches. It sounds super beefy and mean when pushed.

Littetally sounds ALOT better if tune half a step down (correct me if im wrong, but i think you can put a capo on the first fret and tune it to standerd tuning, then take it off). Sounds alot better than bflat duds

I disagree with your approach. It doesn't give me the original sound that the band plays. Seether plucks and strums their strings whereas you simply strum them. The tuning is also somewhat off.

Ty, enjoyed this beginners lesson, ya it is easy but still im right on the edge of got it but dont lol, ill just keep practicing, there is a song "Alone" done by "Downface", great song, simple but would like to know how you'd play it on acoustic if you could. I personally find it's much closer to the acoustic version Shaun plays to play the chords
Make sure to mute the Xs. Because the full chords like A personally don't sound accurate, yes it's the right chord technically, but muting that other string sounds MUCH more accurate to me. Shaun even claims not to be an amazing guitar player, and given his type of music influence, muted power chord like versions of chords are pretty common. Your lesson is totally accurate but I find it doesn't capture the same sound, which is fine, you DO give other chord options which is GREAT and helpful but I felt the need to share what I feel sounds closest to Shaun's solo version. I've watched him play it like a lot, and don't often see him do the A5 on the E string. I usually see the Asus2 played like a power chord. Letting the other notes ring just doesn't get the same sound. But thanks for the lesson :)

They probably got that really heavy sound with a baritone. Baritones are generally tuned to B standard aka 5 half steps down from E standard.
I have a cool 1966 Howard 27” scale length baritone solid body electric from japan that has these 4 big beefy single coils with individual on/off switches. It sounds super beefy and mean when pushed.

Littetally sounds ALOT better if tune half a step down (correct me if im wrong, but i think you can put a capo on the first fret and tune it to standerd tuning, then take it off). Sounds alot better than bflat duds
It great. But how do you do that if you're like me a teen with tiny hands and short fingers im do sad I can do it. I've try so hard but I'm to small and to short it's sad
F#5 looks easier than it is...lol

I disagree with your approach. It doesn't give me the original sound that the band plays. Seether plucks and strums their strings whereas you simply strum them. The tuning is also somewhat off.

i used to have guitar lessosns two years ago but i stopped it. right now i have difficulty changing the chords although the song is pretty easy. would you recommend me to start lessons again? cause i seem to be a face-to-face learner rather than a distant one

Ty, enjoyed this beginners lesson, ya it is easy but still im right on the edge of got it but dont lol, ill just keep practicing, there is a song "Alone" done by "Downface", great song, simple but would like to know how you'd play it on acoustic if you could. If you cant do video, can you reply order of chords and strumming pattern? It is simple as i said but i like how you taught this lesson and interested on how you'd do this.
