Loved seeing the Drombeg Stone Circle - thank you. I have seen ALL the major (& several minor ) stone circles in England & Scotland ( including the Hebrides ) - unfortunately timing was such that we only visited New Grange while in Ireland. I find them absolutely fascinating 💙💙🦋
Good I added it to at least your visual list - we found the site really interesting and a super view to. Need to check the New Grange site out online now Thanks for watching
Beautiful countryside and scenic. I'm from USA and never been to Ireland. My ancestors are from there. Your videos are really captivating and comical at times. I have that Groot bobblehead!! Love it!
Hi there 👋 I love groot ! Never sure if he should be facing the other way as we are seeing beautiful Ireland and all Groot gets to see is me and Stew. Stew made a little tea tray for the front dash board so we can rest our mugs on it and put a hole in the middle so Groots head can still pop up 😂😂. It would be lovely if you could visit one day with your ancestors being from there. The history of Irish emigration to America was fascinating. Its a beautiful country. Thanks for watching fellow groot lover ☺️ jane
Hi guys, a couple of new followers here, just our second video, loving it, we're in the early stages of building our van, we're based in Roscommon, so if you get up this far your more than welcome to stay here 😀 all the best spider and Arlene
Thanks I hope you enjoy the episodes this Ireland series us about halfway through. We have been going 4 years so early videos were not as good and when Jane started to narrate it got better lol as I am not so good at it Exciting times on Van build and many thanks for kind offer Hope the build continues to go well and you are soon out there
Hi ☺️ Yes we were very tired and grumpy which didnt help. Luckily it didnt happen too many times on this trip and we were lucky with our park ups. Thanks for watching Jane ☺️
Hi Carol & Ken, I’m now watching Getaway Geese on your recommendation. I’m seeing more of my own country (Ireland) from all of you. Well done to all you adventurers, very inspiring, entertaining and educational 👍.
We were camping down that way, and they transformed a whole town for the series. That car is for sure part of the series, it was in the town too. It was amazing to see the town the following smday everything gone. Ireland roads are adventurous to say the least. We go off the main roads, you need the nerves of steel. Its very hard to find parkups. Just happened upon your channel, lovely to see our lovely island through your eyes. So many tragic accidents around, there are many plaques of this kind. Hope ye enjoy your further travels here.
Wow thats amazing ! I will keep my eye out for the episode for sure. We saw them filming close by before this by the waters edge but didnt think too much about it. Going off road is where the most fun is to be had and the best things found isnt it ! Yes we saw so many plaques. And so many sad stories. Glad youve found us - Jane ☺️
@getawaygeese Bodkin is the name of it. There is a lad from Cork in it. It's caused great fun for the locals. All the town shops were renamed for the day. Oh for sure the lesser roads are better. West Cork is our fave place. We found a place called Heir Island this year. Can't drive over to it,but have seen some stay in vans there. I'm sure Glengarriff area there could be park ups, I know I have seen some park up in owenahinchia, and Garretstown.
That sounds, like you say, great fun. Cant wait to see it. So many places ! Its nice to hear you are still discovering places (like Heir Island) So much to see. Jane ☺️
@getawaygeese yes re Heir Island, there is a pier across from it, going to it is like driving to the middle of nowhere. A lad drops you over for a small return fee. The beach is like something from Spain,a lovely small church. I do know there are some campsite still open to stay down glengarriff way. If Google can find them. In Cobh your can stay for €10 a night and facilities there for grey water, top ups etc. Friends of mine often stay there, and don't live too far away.
Yes Ive just been googling Heir Island. Looks great. Ive pinned it on my map- We missed it on our travels. We stopped at Cobh earlier on our travels. Met a great group of locals. They only lived 10 minutes away but met up with their friends there for the weekend. Weve been been back about 7 weeks now. We produce the videos as we travel but then start to fall behind as we only put one video out a week. But I always pin suggestions on the map as I know we will definitely be back again and again ☺️. Jane
Hi. Its just the saddest story ever isnt it 😔 poor little girl. We’ve seen alot of tragic stories as we’ve travelled round but this is on another level. Thanks as ever for watching. Jane
When it gets to that point, I head for a boring town or supermarket carpark, or ask at a petrol station if I may park there overnight... I've never been refused .
I can't imagine anyone in Ireland denying anyone a parkup notwithstanding the Rosscarbery issue, Irish folk are always delighted to have visitors and always eager to engage with visitors.
We agree our experience of Irish people had been nothing other than positive apart from the one event. Super friendly and always keen to chat - we loved our time in Ireland in the 9 weeks we were there This day just has a few parkups that didn’t work out and we respected the signs Thanks for watching
Exactly as you say. Everyone so welcoming. Its been by far our best trip. We tend to put alot of pressure on ourselves. Stew can get quite anxious and we have alot “dont dos” Despite Rosscarbery, Ireland as a whole really helped us achieve more relaxed stopovers. Jane ☺️
Hate it when you're tired and can't find anywhere to.park or moor up. Tragic story at the end. I don't mean 'story' but can't think of the right word! Happy New year! X
Yea we were low on confidence anyway and tired and just needed a spot we were happy with which we found but the tragic event was very sad indeed Happy new year to you both
Thanks for watching and commenting - we were still feeling a bit out of sorts from the van attack the previous night so the parkups were challenging and the roads seemed narrower when you feel a little down But we got there in the end and in the next video we are back on the up
Happy New Year.🎉👋 I am Irish but there are many places I have not seen in my own country. Really enjoying travelling with you, thank you. Love your commemtary Jane.
Yep it starts to get you down but we were also super sensitive from the attack the night before so tiredness and being uneasy all contributed Really appreciate your feedback as means a lot
Hi Jane and Stew, that was a giant pastry Stew had for lunch, did he not buy one for you Jane? I like those roads with what look like cycle lanes but wider either side. I've only ever seen them in Ireland. You should search for the Burnistoun voice activated lift in Scotland. It's as funny if not funnier than Stew trying to make himself understood to the satnav.
I must admit Stew I’m converted on the Richmond Veggie Sausages so may give this a go! I’ll keep an eye open for Harry on Netflix 😂.Wishing you both a fantastic New Year and look forward to seeing your travels.
Thanks Paul - I think sainsbury and Tesco do them but it’s a matter of keeping your eye out - not sure the veggie one is on main distribution yet Happy new year
I drive a ford transit 19 plate in work and the nav is pants. Gps out of date. I use Waze on my phone now as more accurate. Its brilliant. 🙂 Tragic story, poor little girl 😥
Hi 👋. Thanks for watching ☺️ yes its on another level the sat nav 🙄 the only good thing we say is it shows us places we wouldnt normally see if we had a decent one 🤦♀️. Yes that story is just so so sad isnt it 😔. As a parent you just cant imagine. Its without doubt one of the saddest and most tragic events Ive ever heard about. Jane
Happy new year to you both, we are very avid watchers of both yourselves and Ken and Carol. Thanks for the entertaining videos, and the locations, hints and tips. We are currently looking to tour around Ireland this year in our van, so this series is giving us a good insight. Anyway a very happy new year and thank you
oh 15.36 is funny, you call them lanes, we call them country roads and you get use to pulling in and having your paintwork scratched with brambles etc.
Visiting some beautiful places on this trip. Had to laugh at the satnav not understanding Stew, its like me talking to Alexa to switch lights on - quicker to manually do it 🤣. Shame no overnight parking at that waterside spot it looked lovelyYou should've asked for an Extras part in the film! I wouldn't have parked in those spaces either. RIP little Clarissa
I’d say that pudding is based on white pudding more than black pudding. The Clon black pudding will be different from most black pudding because it’s made from Beef not Pork plus the oatmeal.
Crikey, that story at the end was heartbreaking. 🥹 As for your park ups, I know I would never be able to keep searching like that, not on my own with my dog, my nerves just wouldn’t take it! Only just starting on the road in 2023 but will be using campsites. Happy New Year to you both, 🎉
Well it was a bad day for parkups but also our confidence was a little low ….. enjoy your 2023 trips and have a go at a wild camp having chosen a good one as a target sometime Happy New Year and thanks for watching
Oh that story 😔 so so sad. Poor little girl. We hope you have an amazing time on the road. There’s some great campsites out there. Hopefully you’ll try a free camping spot at some point. I honestly dont know how Stew find the spots he does. Happy New Year ☺️ Jane

Trish would have enjoyed that pudding, but me, give me the blood! Great video guys👍
Lol Mike - Jane actually liked the black pudding that has the blood more than the white
Thank you for watching
That pastry looked scrumptious 😋. Some nice looking small towns/villages. Story - so sad all round.
It was rather tasty - we love Ireland history but this story was really sad and made us think a lot when we were there
Thanks for watching
Hate it when park ups fail. We find it starts to snowball sometimes and the stress factor can soon rise 😁👍

Another great video, with amusing parts as well as lots of good Irish countryside, and all the narrow lanes!!!! Happy New Year...

Well done Sherlock and Watson 🤣
Lol I know what you mean - it’s easy to just drive on and ignore but we chase the bread crumbs to get to what is going on
Thanks for watching
Happy New Year.🎉👋 I am Irish but there are many places I have not seen in my own country. Really enjoying travelling with you, thank you. Love your commemtary Jane.
Thanks for watching and Jane will love that feed back - we are finding so many different places and lots of history to

Thanks for watching - the puddings are different to uk and if ever you see it give it a go especially the veggie one

Jane declined a pastry as was trying to be healthy so I took one for the team and it was a bit of a beast but very nice

By the end of the trip we also just saw them as ‘memory scratches’ 😂

I like black and white pudding..
I fry it in lenghts rather than rounds...
Easier to turn them over😂
lol now that’s as whole new debate lol 😂
