4o years ago I was attending a course in North Donegal. I spent several months learning the local dialect of the Irish Language while training as a fitter. I cycled everywhere and met so many fantastic people in the wildest and most remote part of this Island.(There were quite a few pretty girls there too who had voices like honey or melted butter.) The music, the people and the scenery got into my soul and it broke my heart leaving it, just before Christmas in 1984. I live at the bottom of Ireland now, I met my wife sometime after leaving Donegal and we travelled much of the world. The Channel Islands initially, then all the coast ot Australia, (in a VW Van),New Zealand, Fiji, 4 American states and finally much of Western and Eastern Europe, (about the time comunism collapsed). Donegal sometimes is nicknamed, "Little Scotland". With the Gaelic Language, the culture, and the wild Beautiful scenery, you could see why its sometimes called that! It was like my first love, and at almost 63, I believe that I never really got over it! Slan.
Jane and Stew, your travels always inspires me! 🛻💚 Navigating challenges, sharing history, and embracing vanlife-each adventure is a story worth telling. Thanks for bringing Ireland's beauty and lessons to life! 🇮🇪✨
Think its boiled eggs on toast for me tomorrow! We remember the argument in France very well, it was so funny, especially the replies, including ours! Sometimes a lazy day is a much needed relaxing day.
It can be times like that when we wish we didn't have a dog, but then we look at her wee face and melt. Glad you found that park up, you do need to be picky sometimes 👍💕🐾
I live in that part of Donegal and Scotland also. I know of many campervan park ups in the area, but never disclose them. I have a campervan also, but my wife will only stay in designated campsites. The island you were looking at from the carpark is Inishbofin island, you can't see Tory island from the car park. The beach is called Magheraroarty beach and is a 4 mile round trip walk from the car park to the end of the peninsula and back, great on a sunny day. Ards forest walk is probably the only area of forest left in Donegal and it is full of invasive rododendrons in summer. It's ok as forest walks go, but nowhere as good as some of the forest walks in Scotland. The 5 euro entry fee is a cheek as it used to be free. The locals park outside and walk in. Cholesterol levels through the roof with those sausages. 👍☘
Loved the forest walk - so pretty. Some of those muddy roads looked very challenging. It must be stressful when you can't find a park-up and it's getting dark. 💙🦋
Thanks for watching - we felt a bit more assured with the new tyres - we always know we will find a place but it’s just nice to stop and relax for the evening - having a phone signal was really important too as Jane’s mum needed to be contactable
Good episode. You can’t beat a bit of rough weather. Mustard brain made me laugh. Us mustard fans have all experienced the fire bouncing off the top of the skull 😁👍
You did all that footage and the best bit was the sausage butties at the end! I have a 9m camper and a Peugeot Expert Tepee that I'm converting, I am actually looking forward to snug trips away and tasty butties in my tiny camper too... All the best 👍🙂
Bernie's with you Jane. Not that we'd be without him but, taking Blue out in bad weather!! Then wet, muddy dog in our Buddy!! 5 sausages OMG I'd (Tina) be needing that Ambulance 😮🐕🚙
I’ve never heard of mustard freeze but I’ve experienced it 😂. We quite often cook all the sausages and leave some for the next day. The walk looked great. Take care Gill
Well we sort of like adverse weather and drying clothes is our biggest challenge - I think seeing areas in all seasons can be rewarding if you can stick it out Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching … I am a more ‘make it up cook m’ lol 😂 It’d was filmed in February so it maybe useful for those planning trips - we have a backlog on footage Thanks for watching
It’s a great bridge and wasn’t aware of that name as bf not exactly sure if it’s the small one in Glenveagh you mean ? - thanks for sharing and watching
It is a huge amount of work especially producing but we always said we would capture where we have been and the support and feedback people seem to like what we do so that gives us a buzz Thanks for watching

Thanks to watching and the info - we try to be accurate but often get it wrong - we heard about invasive plants when we visited the south of Ireland
Wind wind and more wind! 🌬
Hope Harry wasn't too scratched!
One sausage too many! 😂😂😂😂
Thanks - I think it was more than one to many lol
Your still photos are superb, great composure!
Enjoying your Ireland trip, but made me smile when you mentioned the French driving faux pas!
Thanks for watching - most of the stills is Jane’s work who has a bit of an eye for it
