    Hmmm. I get the discrepancy of defining air raid vs the spread. The only thing is: they are both spread, if utilized correctly. Space, rubs, gaps, etc, use that as an advantage. I’ve noticed the gaps between offensive lineman have tightened around the ncaa, since the air raid/spread leach used in his heyday at Texas tech. But, still, you find open space, gaps, and exploit. Harder in the nfl, but Wes welker and brady made it look like poetry. Mahomes and his WR crew make it look elementary.

    • @13kimosabi13
      @13kimosabi13 5 лет назад +2

      BH.....I agree it's GREAT.....but it doesn't appear to be an ELITE offensive scheme => at least not enough to win a NATTY. Until I see it used to jump up to that level, make a statement and accomplish the GOAL......I won't believe. Cardale, Tua and Trevor made STRONG CASES for a PASS FIRST QB winning it all. Jalen and JTB-IV did not. DW won the year HE WAS THE BEST THROWING QB of the running QB's, so the premise held.
      Maybe Oklahoma WINS, if the other 3 teams selected into the CFP's have poor Defenses, I guess I could see it working then (and Clemson's DEFENSE lost so much to the NFL it's possible). OSU and BAMA may have enough on Defense to stop it. LSU and Georgia may have enough BALANCE to overcome it. But so far, it just hasn't RISEN TO THE TASK. Maybe this will be the year.....but 0 - 5 in the CFP/NATTY GAME says.....I gotta see it first !

    • @BigSizzle88
      @BigSizzle88 5 лет назад +4

      Rowtheboat nice camber look at what they average a game yardage and points wise and I really want a better explanation on how that offense isn’t elite.

    • @13kimosabi13
      @13kimosabi13 5 лет назад +1

      @@BigSizzle88 IMO......Most Offenses LOOK elite when you play unranked teams and have superior talent/recruits/athletes. Look at Ohio State this year. That's not to say they aren't a good team or even an elite one. Just where's the perspective ? I just want to reserve judgement on Oklahoma's Offense until we see it work vs ELITE TEAMS. Past history shows teams w/o a viable DFT don't do so well in big games vs elite defenses. The CFP's have exposed this type of Offense EVERY SINGLE YEAR. The Pass First QB's have won 3 NATTY's. The best passing QB of all the running teams won another. And the year Urban Meyer benched his UNDEFEATED NATTY WINNING PASS FIRST QB and replaced him with a Running QB, they didn't even get in the CFP's. So in this ERA, though it LOOKS AMAZING, the Offense Oklahoma is using hasn't won on the big stage. Not saying it won't. But it's 0 - 5 so far with way more teams using it -> than the Pass First teams type Offense....and yet the PASS FIRST teams are dominating the NATTY STAGE. Nick Saban (love him or hate him) had enough of the ILLUSION and LOSING and BENCHED JALEN HURTS => Inserted Tua and WON. When JTB-IV broke his ankle in 2014, a Pass First QB (OSU's best QB) came off the bench and beat EVERYBODY. Clemson's done it twice now....most recently with another TRUE FRESHMAN at QB ( and yes they happened to have an ELITE DEFENSE....check the NFL draft last year to confirm it.....please don't take my word for it ). However, being 0 - 5 doesn't mean this type of Offense won't win this year......but it's track record's not very good......again, versus Pass First Teams with a solid Defense. Can you give me some reasons to believe otherwise ? I've always believed if you want to BE CONSIDERED ELITE.....you have to beat the elite teams. The Offense you're recommending as ELITE hasn't done that. Please explain.
