Hue shifting has been difficult for me because I never knew in what direction I should go for each shade. It was confusing and felt like RNG whether it would look fine or off. This explanation of cooler and warmer colors for darker and brighter shades is excelent and easy to understand. It just clicked for me. Thank you! I'm gonna practice it

In Aesprite, when you open the color panel to change the color you can drag the panel away and it will persist (not auto-close) when you click away.
