I'm 100% gonna try and get Poltava first during the event run-time. I mean, she looks like (Depending on how you look at her) either Mori Calliope from Hololive or Black Swan from Honkai: Star Rail.
One thing you forgot to mention is that the new gun has a worse damage coefficient comapred to the Champaign gun(5% when both are +10, 6% when both are +13). Some quick maths and the new Gun is better than Champy Gun still against medium but the Champy Gun does just edge it out against heavy armor.
Just wanted to point out, since you seem to have kinda glossed over it, but Poltava'a barrage also raises damage for the vanguard, which given the quality of NP vanguard is definitely the main goal for her barrage. Kronshtadt, the Chapayev sisters, Tashkent, Tallinn. Still doesn't necessarily make Poltava good necessarily but does add an extra wrinkle to consider.
I'm a bit let down by Soyuz. Every part where it only benefits Soyuz feels like they intentionally tried to hold back her potential, not to mention giving only her, a BB, torpedo protection, or burn damage protection to her fleet instead of damage reduction in general or even from a specific source (like the aformentioned torpedoes).
One not-so obvious thing about Sovetsky Soyuz: She has THE HARDEST HITTING cross fleet barrage by far. Her cross-fleet barrage is simply her special barrage, no discount, no lowered dmg etc. And her special Barrage is GOOD. So if you ever want to do low-cost farming, she is a must have.
Good to know. Gonna have to skip MLB her though due to shortage of bullins because i was not playing until Vanguard showed up so i need to mlb ulrich and laffey as well. Maan that's gonna take some time. Such a pain in the ass, especially since the double U.R. Sea of stars event was completely unexpected . I may as well finish laffey and then focus on soyuz instead of ulrich since she seems to be good for mobbing. Main fleet does already well enough to overkill almost everything with Zwei, Musashi and Vanguard.
Yeah if you want to do World 15, Guam should probably be your top priority. However, a 3 stars Laffey 2 is about 80% as tanky as 6 stars. So if you are short on Bulin, dont LB Laffey II@@randomyoutubecommentersecu7639
I really feel like we could've gotten a second Super Rare, then things might feel normal. Like a Kirov sister, such as Maxim Gorky or Molotov. Even the last Gangut-Class sister Petropavlovsk (Or her Soviet service name, Marat.) we would need to complete the set.
Submarine K-21 (now perma-anchored and still visible in Russia), with the record of nearly damaging KMS Tirpitz's hull by torpedo and the first Soviet sub that entered US Atlantic shores after WW2 But you people still harbor contempt towards the sneaky ones, admit it!
I think about the cross broch this way. If my ships survivability isnt impacted and i happen to run a French Falgship then its free dmg. otherwise its safe to ignore.

I think she could replace Vanguard in 3BB. She's only got one damage buff instead of two, but if her personal damage is high enough that can make up for it. The slow can also swing vanguard fights (and unlike Bizwei's toilet should actually work on offense). Add in some consistency in not getting slapped by the initial torp salvo as often and the top tier backline might be Soyuz, Musashi, NJ. instead of Vanguard, Musashi, NJ.
she seems to be a mob fleet bb for OpSi considering she can buff cv(l)s or herself. id say shes something like a side-grade to NJ with maybe slightly better dmg.
Another casual event with one exception. This will be first event I'll be giving UR kansen a pass. Also now that we have first UR nation buffer, I hope to see other nation buffer of lower rarity to get retro this year.

I actually got Black Swan when her banner was running, and she doesn't disappoint.

The armor mod is also worse vs. heavy (110 vs. 120), even though he said they're the same.

It finally happened. I don't even need to know anything about the rest of the year, Soyuz being playable makes this the best event of 2024 hands down.

So shes kind of like a less tanky Musashi for all armors with a slow and cv buffs as a bonus. Pretty great honestly.

We're pretty much never gonna get new Common or Rare ships.
We've moved to Elite, Super Rare and Ultra Rare as the new tiers.
I swear elites are harder to get than URs...

The devs aren't rushing the Abyssal Refrain Re-run after this new event to obtain sekrit dokument ginger flattop.
Not currently possible to get her but next on UR rerun is Abyssal Refrain you can obtain her there alongside Kronstadt

Probably not, maybe her damage allows her to be run over Vanguard. Musashi just deals more damage and Zwei's black hole is too strong to replace.

The cn evaluators say she replaces musashi but it’s not that much of an improvement. That’s just on paper though.
Really not a fan of her redesign... But happy about her and Ognevoy fleshing out the Russian faction
