The cliff mine also produced some killer datolites! I have a couple! The cliff mine was also fault mine out in the middle of the forest of michigan! Love great lakes material so much!
27:29 the blue looks like Peruvian opal The clear looks like hyalite. The orange red is gem quality mexican fire opal. The cabs looks ethiopian so i wouldnt get that wet. You can check Australian vs Ethiopian with a black light. Australian will hold a charge for a moment where Ethiopian wont glow. Id take the paydirt to uv light pull any that glow. Then wet pan. So you can pull any color that needs water. Beautiful world opal paydirt! I have some Australian if you need it for the bags ;p

The chain looked like 9k a bit of the line was left. Or 8k (german 333 gold) The little dots can also be scratches. Under magnification you will be able to see if its bubbling or scratched
And 8k could easily look like 18k to. And to top that off. Sometimes 8k gold would be plated to look brighter and higher karat. Normally something someone does aftermarket. But ive seen jewelers who offer the service one low karat pieces

Pretty sure the sock is for breaking the rocks. Rock in sock then sock the rock sock with a hammer ,keeps all the small rock parts in one place.
