I think lisbon metro is unique and very pretty! Every station is covered with different azulejos, every station is another art work for me. I love red and blue line especially!
It's a good system. Easy to get around, but... some escalators have a habit of breaking down! We live about 30 minutes away and regularly visit the city 3 or 4 times per month.
wish you had specified the names of each station in the video and not comments. Question for anyone who know the answer, why do the trains drive on the left side of the track, instead of right side like Portugal's road system?
@@TeamSenke so now I can’t watch videos of my countries metro system because I like planes. I’m not a train fan. I just came here. I don’t know a lot about trains, to be honest I can only name maybe a few trains from London and the ones from Lisbon and their motors.
Not at all cousin, the motor is pretty modern, I don't know if it will be replaced on the upcoming trains or not, but I agree that it is starting to show its age
I think Lisbon is the most beautiful metro system in the Portugal transport system, behind Paris and Stockholm.
Yeah
Madrid is also nice systen
@@vanesamengualdelaviuda7358 no it’s not
@@ANIMIKEY557 Madrid systen is nice, and Iremind you is one of the BEST metro systems in Europe and if not, you can search it on RUclips.
@@ANIMIKEY557 Bro, Madrid Metro is one of the most cleanest and better metro systems on Europe you cant say its not

Lisbon's metro system looks nice, and the different stations have their own different artwork for each line
I love how each line has its own type of style it looks so pretty
I like the sound the SMRT C651 Makes when it starts moving. It sounds like a spaceship
also in New York's R160 train sets
@@RalphZacharyPBano its a shame the motor is very quiet though, it still wont beat bombardier mitrac igbt vvvf though in my opinion
These are ML99 series
They have the same sounds as the Copenhagen S-tog
and also daegu trains line 1

the sound reminds me of nyc

Looks just like the metro in Buenos Aires
Lisboa metro have 54stations
Yellow line is my favourite
What’s a plane fan doing here?

@@encryptedaviation1452 I never said that I was just wondering why a plane fan likes metros
The station at 3:20, for me, is the most beautiful one. Some guys prefer Olaias, but Parque is much more elaborated.
I also perfer that station than olaias
i live in Lisbon, nearest station: Santa ápolonia
Yes, blue line last station 😊
What’s crazy is that none of the trains have air-conditioning.
They don’t need to tho
You`re wrong. All trains have air-conditioning.
@@joserodrigues46 they don’t have air conditioning
@@joserodrigues46 not all mate I’ve been on the Portugal metro every day and there’s never air conditioning instead there’s fans
@@TeamSenke Yes they do

SMRT c651 long lost cousin 😂
These trains use the first generation of the Siemens 400 Hz traction motors, which have also been used on Keikyu lines in Tokyo between 1998 and 2018.
It also has much of a similar sound to the Siemens SITRAC motor on some R160B's in NYC. Also don't forget the C321s in Taipei.
Not at all cousin, the motor is pretty modern, I don't know if it will be replaced on the upcoming trains or not, but I agree that it is starting to show its age
@@encryptedaviation1452 They are still pretty good. They only need to have their interiors renovated (due to vandalism).
The ML90 series (the one with the brown interior, which I love) has a completely different sound.
