Thank you very much, it helped a lot to understand I would just like to understand that it is possible to load this card with more money and transfer it to each ride ? do i need a new card to make a one day card or do i need to load the same card
hi, you can use the same card to top up the money. but if you want to buy a one day pass, you need to go to the booth to ask the staff. please subscribe for more, thank you.
Thank you so much for this video it’s so helpful. Can you do one showing tourist how to get from Lisbon airport to Porto? Do you need to buy the ticket for the train from Orient to Porto ahead of time or can you buy it when you get there?
This info was so useful, first time in Lisbon and this was a great way to understand the transit system. I want to get the 40eur card but where do you find the application form? Can't find it anywhere on any website. Am I given the form at one of the stations for the express delivery? Thanks!
good to know you like the video. usually the form is placed near the counter or next to the number ticket machine. please subscribe to my channel for support, thanks.
@@travellingwithrene Thanks for the reply, I have one more question. The website says "Navegante Card and can be purchased on the 26th of each month, until the 26th of the following month". Does that mean if I buy the Navegante Card today (Jan 24th) it will only work until Jan 26th, and then I need to reload another 40Euro again to get me to Feb 26th? Update: I just called and got the answer. This could be helpful for anyone getting the Navegante Card. The card only works until the 26th of the month. So if you buy the 40euro card on the 20th of the month, you can only use it for 6 days (cannot pro-rate). You need to pay another 40euro on the 26th to get you to the next month.
@reddemon1923 My answer is a bit different from yours. The top up 40Euros, counts from the 1st day of the month till last day of the months. You can start top up on 26th of each month for the use of next month. If you buy a "NEW" card on Jan 24th, and top up with 40Euros, this 40Euros will let you ride from Jan 24th to Jan 31st. You can top up on Jan 26th for Feb use.
Well done, but... in New York, you simply buy your ticket and can travel (mostly) the whole subway system. We missed our stop in Porto and was warned by a security guard that we did not scan our ticket when departing. Huh? What is that? You didn't cover that in your otherwise excellent video. Thanks.
THANK YOU, you've just made my arrival super smooth and quick, this can be a pain with a big suitcase if you don't know what to do!
it is good it helps. Please subscribe for more new videos and wish you a happy journey in Portugal. Thank you.
the navegante information is very useful, thanks
happy to know it helps, thank you.
Yes I subscribed 🎉🎉🎉
thank you for support 😀
I need to go to Belem via E15 tram on one day, and take the Metro blue line on the next day. What is the best fare to buy? The 24 hour option?

weekdays, you can buy it right away, if for weekend or holiday, I would say you can buy ahead

@@travellingwithrene ahhh, that makes sense. I must have misunderstood what the person was saying on the phone. Thanks
no worries, you are welcome to share with yours friends who are interested to Portugal.
Great video..
I have a question in case I don't have the NIF number.
Can I get this card?
you can get it without nif number.
please subscribe for more videos, thanks 😊
@@travellingwithrene ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing. Do you have to take your luggage with you on the metro and have it with you by your seat? Or is there a special area to put it?
no special area for luggage in metro, just have it by your seat.

Does the Ponto Navigator cover this? Like just get the card from those machines?
you mean Porto? you can buy the Andante Card from the machine.
@@travellingwithrene Hi, no I mean the Ponto Navigator ticket machines around Lisbon for the Navegante card.
@@enthusiastisch1922 you need to apply for the Navegante card at the booth counter but you can top up the card at the machine
Can I use Viva Viagem 24 hr pass to get from airport to city?
yes, the metro to airport is a normal metro, (not a special express as other countries do).
Does this metro pass through/have a stop at Oriente train station?
@@ucheugwuh760 yes, the train station is upstairs of metro station.
