I love what bubbie said, “this game is easy when your told what to do correctly!” Love tips!
Couldn't have said it better
I've taken a bunch of these lessons to the range myself. I have got so much better tee to around green. now just have to learn putting.
I've always thought about this with Pros. I understand they are amazing ball strikers, but during tournaments, they have people literally telling them exactly what to do every shot. What club, where to hit it, the slope of the fairways, greens etc. It's almost cheating. A caddy should do nothing but carry the clubs, and hand them the club that the PLAYER wants to use.
No doubt, it just takes me back to the first time I swung a club then getting coach in high school and thinking they didn’t teach me squat lol and it showed on the course. But, now hearing information that I can apply and when using it on the course it just makes sense now. Especially when you break it down like this and I can relate to how he’s teaching it. I appreciate good good! They really got me back to a game I always knew I loved!
@@shmirginhymer1867 I would love to see them play like this!! Would make it more realistic…
I love when Bubbie is on the labs. He’s always so genuine and happy to learn how to improve his game. Great tips Grant!
Honestly Grant could make a lot of money coaching, his knowledge is insane considering his age
He does make money coaching…. It’s called RUclips
His dad was a pro golfer I think so he learned very younf
Yeah he's doing quite well for himself with RUclips. No way full time coaching even at 150$ per lesson would pay him what he's cashing in via RUclips.

How old is Grant
The baseball thought is exactly how I approached golf for a long time. I needed to know exactly how far away I am from the hole because I’m swinging full, because taking something off my swing messes with my swing. Keep up the great work , love all content
That was some of the best chipping I’ve seen!! And to know it was literally was a great feeling for him to notice that change like that instantly made the video that much better!! 💯💪🏾💪🏾
I just went out and golfed 9 holes after watching this video and I tried to ease my grip on chip shots and it helped tremendously. Great job explaining
I was doing the same thing that Bubbie was doing, but no one ever pointed that out. I watched at least a hundred videos from coaching guru's to tour players, with no success. Then I found your video this morning and I am going to go practice it. Thanks for your tip.
Grant has so much relatable info for the weekend warrior. Or me that plays a very laid back, have fun league. I play against myself and my daughter-in law partner. The content fits our outlook for golf. Nothing against young hard drivers, but Grant fits to all levels of golfers. I am 65 with fly by my pants 20 yrs of golfing and love it. Good or bad a lot of fun. I found many tips that have opened my eyes to a lot of bad habits and setups. THANK YOU
I relate to this so much. I've been playing for 20 years and I could never hit these shots for the same reason as Bubbie as I misunderstood what everyone meant by accelerating through the shot. I finally learned last year to turn through these shots and literally took 8 shots off my handicap within 2 months. Total game changer.
Congrats to you. Body turn is def the key.
Yes Grant! I used to play off 2. Then my chipping left me. Total yips. Your tip of ‘let it fall’ just works for me. I’ve listened to Pete Cowan talk about gravity and let it fall but your Style and delivery Grant really works. Love you positivity when you miss a green, ‘well’ chance of a
Chip in. Love it.
I totally agree with bubbie at the end. I’ve been playing for a month now and as a baseball player full swing shots are ridiculously easy. I’ve hit a driver 300 yds consistently on the course. But it’s the pitch and chip shots I struggle with causing me to either thin it out or hit it to hard due to my tight grip and insane chop swing. This will help so much! Thanks grant
This is perfect. The way bubbie explains things really helps viewers connect with the content. I have the exact same problems and I can't wait to get to the course to try this!
I like Grant and Bubbie videos because they do a great job of talking through the problem. I was fortunate enough to be taught well and young about good short game play from my grandpa and it sorta came natural but this gives me things to try and pass on to my friends when we play. Great content as always.
Struggled with my short game for a long time. Having watched your vid with bubbie about grip pressure and letting the club do the work and just fall onto the ball . Went out and shot 40 points. Thanks guys .
Playing w/ Bubbie & Grant would be a dream. Both you guys are super positive people. They both look forward and are all about the growth of golf. Grant’s a great teacher and Bub’s a great listener and executor. That handsy flop shot will be a game changer for the most clutch golfer in GG!
I think Bubbie is such an athletic coachable guy. He makes changes and is so in tune with his body. Once He understands the mechanics involved, he’s got it. I enjoy watching him. Especially because he is so positive about everything.
Love this...will definitely help me!!! Thanks as always Grant and Bubbie...
Thanks so much for the great advice. Also props to Bubbie for shouting out this video during a goodgood game of knockout in the UK. His shots looked crisp in that video as they do here.
Excellent video Grant, and Bubbie as a natural athlete....like many of us, so when he has a good instructor, with only words of FEELS and encouragement that actually helps, it's a GAME CHANGER! WELL DONE LADS!
PS - Now we will see Bubbie competing tough in all the challeges, and his scores will drop like crazy.
Loving these videos guys, learning so much! I think a great one to cover at some point would be the differences between a driver and iron swing. You've covered both to some degree, but I think you always tend to focus on the irons. It would be really great to look at what's common and what's different between the two!
My biggest problem that I just somewhat fixed is too much grip pressure on every shot. It wouldn’t let me shallow because I was gripping way too hard. This was a super helpful video
Great teaching leads to great student, great job both of you.
Outstanding for Bubbie! And I never thought about just letting the weight of the club and gravity do the work. Time to go to the range! Thank you goodgoodlabs!
Great video. The loosening the grip and letting the club fall helps a lot.
great vid. Been struggling with the short game lately, going to try this tomorrow. Cheers Grant!
I could listen to grant give lessons all day long! It just comes across so clean and really resonates
I have always gripped too tight when chipping this def will help ….. these guys are awesome
Thanks Grant for helping me make my first chip-in birdie today using the tips in this video!
Freaking love it.... I think Bubbie is now well rounded....He truly can be a super golfer!!!! Bubbie just has to believe in himself.... Great coaching Grant.. awesome tips. I will be using them myself. I struggle on tight lies as well.
A video on long/driving irons would be great. Whether it’s off the tee or off the deck. The set up and mindset that you have when you get those longer irons in hand is something that I’m definitely missing, and being more effective there would help my game.
They did one awhile back on this channel
Just took this advice to the course, 4th hole 60 yards out put it to 1 foot… 18th hole chipped in for birdie. Thanks for the help
The baseball reference hit home bro! Totally understand. Slight learning curve going from my baseball background to golf!
Grant is a great instructor! Understands the fundamentals so well.
I need to use this myself, need so much work on my game, keep it up! Thank you boys
Great lesson guys. Can’t wait to get out to try these myself.
Bubbie adding new weapons to his game, Grant with the positive vibes and great info.
That's why we love these guys, great stuff as always.
This really worked well for me! Good good advice!
Wow what an improvement. Nice coaching Grant. Great improvement for Bubbie
Bubbie and I are very similar golfers with the biggest difference being I learned how to chip correctly years ago and it was a game changer for me as well. The reason you're so good with a putter from off the green Bubbie is because you've practiced it a lot on the course. Good chipping/pitching technique is so important because sometimes you just can't use a putter from off the green- bunkers, thick rough, etc. Amateurs struggle with these issues because anytime in golf you tense your muscles (full swing, bunkers, chipping, pitching, putting, grip pressure) it kills good technique and kills speed in the full swing. Bubbie has me beat on distance though, that's for sure.
I watched your other chipping video you guys posted a few days ago and practice and wow now when I played my chilling was amazing like damn your advice is top teir grant amazing 🤩💪🔥
Worth the effort Bubbie. Once I learned how to chip around the green and became confident, it's now my favorite shot to hit
Great lesson Grant. Would love to see you do this off a tight lie too as that sounds like where Bubbie would struggle more?
Another good job Professor, I only had a PW for a long time. I finally got a 52°and a 60° and I was struggling trying to hit them. I started to dissect your wedge swing and it helped me a little but now that I hear you talk about grip pressure, I think my wedges are going to be my favorite clubs!⛳🏌️♂️
Grant, you’re a natural teacher. Amazing.
Great video really summed up how easy yet complicated golf can be.
I'd really love to see you guys make a video that incorporate some skill based drills and get some inside knowledge as to how you guys are practising. I've personally had the most success from working on skill based exercises vs technique work. It requires less time and usually will result in far greater improvement.
I hear you mention things like " just like hammering a nail" (I personally know what you mean but many people don't) I think it would benefit a ton of people including myself if you incorporated some of these ideals into some videos.
Can’t wait to see it in action… great listener, quick improvement, good good work Bubbie!!!!
LETS GOOO !!! BUBBIE GOLF COME ONE !!!! good job Grant ,always a pleasure to see improve guys game
Dude I just tried this I have had the same problem anything more then ten feet off the green I was hopeless and it totally worked every time I did like thirty shots thank you
Great job Grant, said it before you are a natural teacher! Well done Bubbie, boys are going to see a change in your competitiveness.
cheers grant that was a great chipping lesson. im trying to teach my son at the moment to use his body to hit the ball not arms. ill show him this hopefully it will help heaps thanks for the lesson 👍.
Where was this video before my round this morning :P Thanks for the tips, I know what I need to work on now :D
Sometimes the fix is so simple that it’s maddening! Good shit boys.
Great lesson well done Grant and Bubbie good tips I can use with Alfie
Grant is such a good teacher. He cares a lot about every ones swing!
Bubbie that's a really nice looking pitch shot you've got, love the body rotation through impact.
Super helpful. Keep it up GG
You should walk Matt through this or have him watch this. I've noticed he's also has that chili dip at the ball during impact. It's gotten better but that little bit left is still causing him issues and hurting his confidence over the ball
For sure, he has so much head movement in all his short game stuff, especially putting. That can't be helping.
Dude you’re a natural coach! Good stuff
Looking forward to seeing Bubbie use this!
Never been told this. Can't wait to try it thanks Grant!
I needed this video so bad
Y’all are both legends!
Such a fan of you Bubbie. Your approach to life is just wonderful and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks you’re the best part of good good.
Please lay off the cigars though-we’d like you around for great content for years to come. 👍
Give Micah a lesson in having fun
LOL
Underrated comment lol
Micah: [hits an approach shot 3 feet from the pin]
Micah: I'm a bit disappointed in that one, thought I could be closer. At least I'm putting
I was waiting for this lol, there's just times when putter off the green isn't an option.. if bubbie gets this down he will be much more confident around the greens!💪💪
I doubt Bubbie will ever not use his putter. Just like how Micha won't really use his driver over the 2 iron. Micha has a couple bad drives and out comes the 2 iron for the rest of the match.
@@WildElroy13 absolutely, it's going to help bubbie when he doesn't have the option to putt.. for example having to get up and over a bunker, or in thicker rough where you can't really get a putt on it
@@WildElroy13 think though Bubbie gets confent with the wedges he will be really good player. Prolly push for being in the top 3 at least of Good Good
Top quality video yet again, here’s an idea, what about a video about how to read greens?
I can’t wait for Bubbie to hit that first chip-in for the stumps on the next 3v3 Good Good vid. Nice shot Good Buddy!
BUBBIE WIT THE STOGIE LESSSS GOOOOOOOOOOO!
Thanks for this!
Great tip. 👍 What about grip pressure for bunker shots?
Thank you boys for coming to Chicago.! Bubbie has got this! Grant is an amazing teacher.!!
IMO, this is one of the most important parts of everyone's game tied with putting. Practice this over and over.
I could watch Grant give lessons all day.
this game is so easy, once you're told what to do correctly.... 🙏 keep winning and spread that good good like a spirit bomb haha just got my 58 spinning properly thanks to you goons. thank you
Well done bubbie, great coaching too 👍
Gotta be early boys
Grant you are a talented teacher.
same pointers helped me when I started
I’ve listened to a few pros talk about hitting the low spinning nippers. All of them open the face like 1 degree and really talk about having passive hands through the shot
Can we get grant teaching bunker shots. I’ve honestly never seen somebody hit more pure accurate bunker shots than him
He did one with Bob Does Sports
[Emperor Parpatine]: "Heh Heh Heh....Good Goooooood... Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen. Embrace your chipping destiny, and destroy all who would dare oppose you, my apprentice."
Anyone notice Grant try to dodge the cigar smoke at 6:46 lmao he seen it coming and tried to move🤣 great video tho!!
100% agree with Bubbie's view of rather being in the bunker, for some reason that shot it just easier for me than those around the green
Bubbie's gonna be dangerous ! Great job Grant ❤️
Grant, you make it look so easy
Grant has the ability to just look and know what your doing wrong and at the same time, Grant does not tear you down but builds confidence. Well done Grant and way to go Bubbie.
This makes me happy

Slow motion would be really nice to see. Or even a side by side of the before and after in slow motion. Love the GGLabs. Keep it up boys
Bubbie - 'I'm the opposite of amateurs'. MY GUYS GONE PRO! Congrats man
Ya know what, sometimes when my golf game goes to heck. I just take my wedge as I am walking up to the green where my ball is sitting and I just one hand swing the wedge to chip it up on there. That same thing that Grant is telling Bubbie is kinda what that one handed swing is. I am not a very good player so it seems as though I am doing these one handed chips quite often. I thought I was just getting good at it. But that loose grip thing I believe you are on to something. Thanks Guys.
this changed my game
Would love to see a video from Grant on the way to approach these shots where your about 2 feet off the green in more of the rough area that’s just past the fringe with different hole locations short and longer shots to the pin.
Please do a video on when to hit a 52 / 56 or 60 degree. The differences.
About time he learns
Facts with the baseball comment
ABOUT TIME!
The best feeling ever is when something clicks in your head and you can’t help but to laugh, because it was just a simple adjustment
Grant, I have found that if I let the weight of the club do the work is fine on farway, but I struggle doing this from rough. I have found that I have to firm up my grip and use more body turn. Is this the proper way from from rough?
Thanks for these videos!
Way to go Bubbie and Griant!
