      I've always thought about this with Pros. I understand they are amazing ball strikers, but during tournaments, they have people literally telling them exactly what to do every shot. What club, where to hit it, the slope of the fairways, greens etc. It's almost cheating. A caddy should do nothing but carry the clubs, and hand them the club that the PLAYER wants to use.

    • @jermainetaylor4117
      @jermainetaylor4117 2 года назад

      No doubt, it just takes me back to the first time I swung a club then getting coach in high school and thinking they didn’t teach me squat lol and it showed on the course. But, now hearing information that I can apply and when using it on the course it just makes sense now. Especially when you break it down like this and I can relate to how he’s teaching it. I appreciate good good! They really got me back to a game I always knew I loved!

    Grant has so much relatable info for the weekend warrior. Or me that plays a very laid back, have fun league. I play against myself and my daughter-in law partner. The content fits our outlook for golf. Nothing against young hard drivers, but Grant fits to all levels of golfers. I am 65 with fly by my pants 20 yrs of golfing and love it. I relate to this so much. I've been playing for 20 years and I could never hit these shots for the same reason as Bubbie as I misunderstood what everyone meant by accelerating through the shot. I finally learned last year to turn through these shots and literally took 8 shots off my handicap within 2 months. Total game changer.

    Yes Grant! I used to play off 2. Then my chipping left me. Total yips. Your tip of ‘let it fall’ just works for me. I’ve listened to Pete Cowan talk about gravity and let it fall but your Style and delivery Grant really works. Love you positivity when you miss a green, ‘well’ chance of a
    Chip in. Love it.

    I totally agree with bubbie at the end. I’ve been playing for a month now and as a baseball player full swing shots are ridiculously easy. I’ve hit a driver 300 yds consistently on the course. But it’s the pitch and chip shots I struggle with causing me to either thin it out or hit it to hard due to my tight grip and insane chop swing. This will help so much! Thanks grant

    Bubbie and I are very similar golfers with the biggest difference being I learned how to chip correctly years ago and it was a game changer for me as well. The reason you're so good with a putter from off the green Bubbie is because you've practiced it a lot on the course. Good chipping/pitching technique is so important because sometimes you just can't use a putter from off the green- bunkers, thick rough, etc. Amateurs struggle with these issues because anytime in golf you tense your muscles (full swing, bunkers, chipping, pitching, putting, grip pressure) it kills good technique and kills speed in the full swing. Bubbie has me beat on distance though, that's for sure.

    Great video really summed up how easy yet complicated golf can be.
    I'd really love to see you guys make a video that incorporate some skill based drills and get some inside knowledge as to how you guys are practising. I've personally had the most success from working on skill based exercises vs technique work. It requires less time and usually will result in far greater improvement.
    I hear you mention things like " just like hammering a nail" (I personally know what you mean but many people don't) I think it would benefit a ton of people including myself if you incorporated some of these ideals into some videos.
