Thank you for the video Kyle. I have owned this lens for awhile and love the 40mm focal length it is my most used owning also the voightlander 40mm f2.8, minolta rokkor f2 40mm lsm, the Sony 40mm f2.5g, and the panasonic 20mm f1.7 (40mm equiv). I use it a lot for the street it is wide enough for my to capture contex and narrow enough to focus on a single subject
Absolutely love this lens paired with Nikon ZF takes me back to when I started photography and for street I’m using zone focus leaving only to concentrate on composition love using it at 1.2 making incredible visual statements. great work enjoyed seeing your photography
The 40mm was my most used on a m-body since the 80's. The 40 f/2 Rokkor-m & the 40 Sumicron have been adapted for E-mount bodies. I occasionally use them on an a7iv; before the purchase of a couple TTartisans some 18 months ago, the 40 was used as a 60(equiv.) on a6000 for a number of years. Feels like a good (cheap) digital m. Simply, they are amazing; some of my most memorables shot w/ fixed-focals were made by these. { No more spending on big-L; not just because of my age, nothing is irreplaceable esp. by sth. more sensible. }
Very cinematic and timeless photos💯. A secret sauce lense it is. It creates images that have so much soul! I had my eyes on the 1.2 but this one really do reminds me of the medium format look. Exceptional stuff man🔥
Helllo Kyle i really love your videos, I was wondering if you explain the Photo Edit techniques on your course too? or is just the photosoot part as here?

I love the character this lens renders. Between that and the level of detail it captures looks beautiful in your hands.

Great review! How do you set it up with sl2? Which profile?
Photo style? I just use standard and adjust color in post, if needed.
Is your lens SC version = single-layer coating?
Mine is MC
