    Grew up listening to Sousa since I was 12 yrs. old...very good music to play for the 4th of July while lighting of fireworks...:)

    Inspirational March.. Sousa is great at composing things, however, as a trombone and baritone player I feel personally victimized

    this recording is kind of fuzzy and noisy, thanks in big part to the echo and causing snare drums to sound like a mess.

      The Spanish American War as portrayed in The Rough Riders was an
      occasion for several famous old Confederate officers to get into a fight again and bury the hatchet of the War Between the States. Maj Gen "Little Joe" Wheeler, CSA was the most famous, and his valour in the Spanish American campaign helped get him a place in Arlington Cemetery (the former estate of Gen Robert E. Lee, CSA).
