Army veterans disappointed with fine print of OROP

On News Point, we ask representatives of protesting ex-servicemen about their core demands and the fine prints of the One Rank One Pension that they are discontent with. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar announced the implementation of the long delayed OROP. However, armed forces personnel are unhappy about some clauses in the government's version of the scheme. Why is there no more news coverage on the topic of OROP? The matter is not settled yet. There are veterans still demanding fair implementation of the scheme. The press is not letting their voices heard. And, the government has not said a word since the initial announcement. NDTV please don't destroy whatever little faith is left in the Indian democracy by keeping quiet on this issue.
