You got that right good buddy!! Watching this episode now!! Got a couple of Rifleman DVD's for my birthday last weekend. Got this episode on one of them. Had seen another episode before but didn't realize he actually did 2 in 1962 !!
“fancy shooting.. would you show me” Pauses for a millisecond “Alright, boy” Lol normally in movies there is some reluctance at first before being coaxed into in action. Not here, he basically said what took you so long to ask lol
The man could sing, dance, play piano, play drums, play horn, play vibraphone, do impressions, now I see he is also a gunslinger. How do you learn all that in a lifetime? And he is not even 40 yet in this clip.
@@royalflush8173he practiced a lot and was very enthusiastic about it. Ben Cooper was the first to teach Sammy how to fast draw in the early 50s before Sammy lost his eye in the auto accident.
Was that a tad. RACIST??? I am technically white but would that have played the same if that. Nice Jewish Boy also half Puerto Rican have less of a. Great Tan??? 7 24 2021
What I loved was Lucas wanted him off the property because he was a gunslinger NOT because he was Black. Show holds up well for 60 years old.
Mr. Davis was a highly versatile entertainer. Truly one of a kind. Salute.

Yes, he could spin those 6 guns! He practiced a lot. 💯
Don't forget he was an Original skilled Tap Dancer too...
Truly Amazing Man 😊
I think it took him 6 weeks to learn the gun sling

Sammy was a multi talented individual. Dancer ,actor, singer, drummer , probably a lot of other stuff too
Sammy and Chuck were good friends since the early 50s.
Uh oh. I hope the rumor isn't true then
He was the first black man too play on that show rifle man
Sammy appeared in 2 "The Rifleman" episodes. He surely could spin those pistols very well.
Chris Oliver I read that he was considered one of the best gun wranglers in Hollywood along with Jerry Lewis.
@@BodaciousWench Definitely a talented man, for sure!
Man.....I wish we could finish the rest of the show...it was just getting interesting. RIP Sammy Davis JR & Chuck Connors & Johnny Crawford.
The episode is available on RUclips.
If i were his horse , i'd be thinkin' bout some new variations on target placement for the ol' knife in the hole trick.
Sammy could actually do that stuff.
Yeah, we just watched him do it. ;o)
Yeah he did the same knife trick on the Johnny carson show
@@fritz9830 I heard about his gun tricks and accuracy, but not his knife throwing. This multi-talented man could actually throw knives accurately too?
@@hillsane9262 supposedly! I couldn't find the clip though, so who knows
@@fritz9830 Thanks for looking! That would have been great to see. Heck but if people have written about it, that's good enough for me.
I was born in the 80's but some how I miss these times. The shows, the popular personalities, the vehicles and when you worked hard it was respected.
Damn it McCain.....I wanted to see the big finale
Dammit! What was "the last lesson" Sammy was going to deliver before Chuck interrupted? We shall never know...
Must stop and watch this episode
Sammy - super cool.
Genuine respect, genuine affection, not just character to character, but actor to actor.
And this was sixty years ago.
The candy man can shoot
Actually, he could. Really well.
Mister everything man
Ya just don't shoot a man's barn...
Yeah what the hell, man!
Hahahahahahahahahaha..... true that, property damage, lol.
Great episode
My favorite entertainer in my favorite show! 😍
He let the Rifleman Lucas win because of Mark.
Pretty good tricks and shooting for a one-eyed man.
He didn’t actually shoot anything. 😂
Wow! that was some soft wood - damn termites!! 😡

it came out years later his gun handling skills were done by a stunt double and CGI
