    Ah yes, the Biovore. The must have unit in every list. This is by far my favorite model in the Tyranid range, if not in 40k. I m so looking forward of painting mine!
    Would love to see a battlereport where someone uses 9 of them, just to see what they can do.
    You did get the rule right that only 1 unit is able to fire spore mines. So if you have a single Biovore you get 1 mine per shot and for 3 you get 3.
    What you got wrong is, they of course have OC 0, so any secondaries that need you to take down an Objective are not possible for them. I think there are 6 or 7 cards that are excellent for them to score.

      They are useful if you lack deep strike negating models. If you see gaps in your force in turn 1, you can fire spores to interdict those gaps...

      Was there an FAQ or errata concerning the Biovores? I believe when Luke ran them in his past battle reports, he had three individual units of 1. So R.A.W. each of those Biovores would indeed be able to forego shooting to place a single Spore Mine. I have the non-index data card in front of me, which states "In your shooting phase, each time this unit is selected to shoot, it can use this ability instead of making any attacks with its ranged weapons. If it does, you can add a new Spore Mines unit to your army and set it up anywhere on the battlefield that is within 48" of this unit but more than 9" horizontally away from enemy units. That Spore Mines unit contains 1 model for each model in this unit."
      But yeah after discussing the OC 0 trait with a bunch of folks, it does seem that Spore Mines cannot hold objectives (nor can any OC 0 unit). That's a bummer, but I think it makes sense. Still, there's a lot of disruption a Spore Mine can cause: area denial, lurking mortal wounds, etc. I do wish GW would un-Nerf indirect fire. It's made Biovores and Hive Guard completely useless in for that ability.

      Yeah i think they changed that kinda quick, you definitely only get 1 unit of Biovores to spit out mines. It´d be cool if they had a secondary rule to them, allowing another Biovore unit to deploy X mines within 3 of the Biovore unit instead of shooting normally or launching mines 48 inches. That way you could at least use all the mines that are in the set.
      It does make sense mines and other small cheap units have OC 0, it would completely ruin any factions with sticky objective abilities. We can be happy that they allow it to do actions of any other kind.
      About indirect fire, idk, it seems reasonable that there is a trade off for being safe while still being able to shoot. Besides, they got a big threat range with their weapon, so you can just fire out of cover normally, and if the opponent decides to fire back at them with long range attack to get rid of them. That could be good too, taking the preasure off of Monsters charging forward. Idk, i need more games with my bugs to figure them out fully. I´ve played mostly with my Necrons this edition. ^^

      @@Dewoy1 Yep. Good points. For indirect fire, I think the hit to the ballistic skill is good, but the +1 cover feels strange. Oh and for the Spore Mine launchers, I just searched the FAQ, Tyranid Errata, and Balance Dataslate, but didn’t find anything. Do you happen to know where they amended that rule?

    I agree with @dewoy.
    As the spore mins has 0 OC, i dont believe it can capture/hold an objective.
    It however, can do any of the other secondaries you discussed.
    Love the biovore, love the content
