Since you asked, yes, it would be less extreme. It would be equally abhorrent and unethical but it would be less extreme. For one thing, pregnancy is far far more taxing, dangerous and life altering than a vasectomy.
For another, preventing impregnation is far less drastic than forcing someone to give birth against their will.
That would never happen, it will never even be suggested, but if it were proposed, I would fight it, just as I fight this assault on women's human rights.
I wonder if this would be happening if men actually got pregnant. I believe the world would be a different place.

Why not let the people in each state decide what the laws on this subject are? If the majority want it then get it in the ballot and vote for it. Why is it only ok if the feds say so? Most states allow it to happen in some way and up to a certain timeframe , and includes exemption for SA, InCest, Mis-carrage. Heck even Fla allows it up to six weeks. ( Too short imo)
