The part at 1:40 honestly sounds so much better than it does in either track by itself. It makes dissonant chords that only exist when the tracks are combined, and those chords create this rising tension, and I can almost picture a final battle in a 20th-century Disney movie (think Phillip vs Maleficent or Quasimodo vs Frollo).
