Character dialogue is a big factor for me in farming Sims so hearing you talk about the tavern and characters having different dialogues when receiving the same item really makes me want to play the game now. Hearing that the game has little details like that proves to me that the developers have a lot of love for this game.
This looks amazing! 🤩 I'm obsessed with the art style and character designs. The marriage candidates all look really good! The gameplay looks fun and I'm excited about all of the content the game has, too. I hope it comes out of early access soon!
I just got done playing about an hour and a half of Fields of Mistria and I can already tell that this is going to be one of my most visited cozy games. I'm always so impressed when this admittedly somewhat tired game formula can be done in a way that feels so inviting and new. I'm already really interested to see what happens with these characters. It's really refreshing. I also very much appreciate all the instances of "you'll have to play it and find out" in your video lol thank you for that
I’m glad that you are enjoying the game as well! I really love it too. And no problem! I know lots of people don’t like spoilers, even if they are kind of minor things, haha.
Definitely, I'm looking forward to it. I was already hyped before. After your review, I'm even more! 🤩 You are the best when it comes to farming sims reviews, Eli.
Aaaah, I have to wait 'till tomorrow to get it...I saw the video and got excited, hahah. "Did I get the date wrong?!" Gonna be doing a roof this week, so I know I'm not gonna have a ton of time to play other than today :(. Thanks for the vid, Eli!
I am SO happy this game has a lot of dialogue! I feel like so many games in the genre don't see. To understand how important it is to have interesting NPC to get the player really transported into the game
I'm really in love with Bokujō Monogatari series (and spin off like Rune Factory) since I was young, but I couldn't get into other farming sims such as Stardew Valley. I guess the other farming sims don't appeal to me and felt like they don't have the charm like Bokujō Monogatari games to me. When Fields of Mistria caught my eye, I missed out on the demo unfortunately. It looked really promising and I haven't been excited for another farming sim. Hence, I'm really looking forward to the trying out early access. I just hope that I won't be disappointed.
Between Fields of Mistria and Ova Magica, which one do you feel is most fleshed out for early access? I've kinda vowed to not get early access games anymore because in the past I've played them too much that when the new content comes out, I'm already tired of them and I end up missing out on a lot. But I've waited for both of those games for so long so I'm tempted to buy 1 of them early.
Right now, I’d say go with Fields of Mistria. It feels more complete. I think Ova Magica is going to be a really good game as well, but it still needs a bit more polishing. With Fields of Mistria, it already feels very polished. Yeah a couple of small things are missing, but it still feels a full game. So, my recommendation is to buy FoM now and wait on Ova Magica to have a few more updates.
Omg, I like that this game looks like they’re not holding back from giving the people what they want! The one thing that looks pretty irksome to me is the customization part. I know it didn’t show everything that could be unlocked, but the number of pixels that make up a shirt or a pair of shoes already tells me there’s not gonna be much differentiation. Everything else is looking perfect!
Yeah, some of the customization stuff looks great (like the magic themed ones) but others I honestly can't really tell what they were going for. Hopefully they either touch up the ones that don't look so good or add some that look better. Love everything else about the game though!
Im just worried that people might be biased because of the nostalgic art style and not judge the gameplay itself. What does it add that other farming sims dont have?
Honestly, it’s like Stardew Valley with a bigger focus on magic and a different aesthetic. If you are looking for a good farming sim that does everything well, you can get it. If you want something radically different, maybe try Ova Magica or Harvest Moon the Winds of Anthos instead. FoM is a more traditional farming sim game as opposed to a farming sim hybrid game.
For the wardrobe, maybe I suggest your try the items (like with the real stuff). Then you'll know if you like the look. In no way is this a bad point. And we'll OBVIOUSLY get more items as we level up and the game gets more complete. Talk about nitpicking!
It's only read unfortunately😊 But it's so much fun! I have been going through several Friday's and they do different things. E.g. One time card games and another Dungeons & Dragons😂
Console releases are TBA at the moment, but I’d say that there is a good chance it will be ported to the Switch! They have said that they are planning to port the game after it launches 1.0.
I mean, if you have never played either and you have to choose only one, I’d still say Stardew Valley since it’s on 1.6 and very polished. But Fields of Mistria has lots of potential and is a great game to play if you’ve played Stardew Valley to death. So… I’d still say both if you can.

Eli has a way of talking about farming sims that gets me really intrigued and excited about them!
I have been SO READY for this for so long T_T
I ADORE the artstyle
Yes, it gives me the vibes of like Mineral Town(one of my personal favourite town of the Bokujo Monogatari franchise!)

I hope you enjoy the game when you get a chance to play! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Love the 90’s anime art style.
Same, i miss it so much. Bought this game when i saw the characters.
@@Janfey I also love that you can pet the dog (aka Dozy) so it’s a 10/10 for me
LOL, I can't get this game just yet, I have to wait for tomorrow lol. But yeah I am looking forward to this game for sure. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for commenting! I’m so excited for everyone to start playing so we can all talk about how amazing it is, haha.

Been waiting for this game since it started development !! I love Claire Belton and everything she works on!! I'm so excited to play
keep us updated on the progress pls, realy looking forward to this game, just want to see how it pans out first before buying it
This game is how i would imagine a SNES Harvest Moon remake would look. Definitely copping this along with Puffpals and Tales of Seikyuu.
I can't wait! Tomorrow can't come quick enough.
Sooo hyped!!! I can’t wait to get it.
It definitely lives up to the hype! I hope you enjoy it! Less than 24 hours away now!
I have to say the art style has be completly charmed. I can't wait till they add pets!
This game is so beautiful! And yeah, I am so pumped to see pets! Hopefully we can have more than one.

@@elithegaymer Thank you!! :)
This video is making me think I'll definitely pick this up soon.
If you do pick it up, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I’m so hyped! Can’t wait to get it!
I just hope they add translations soon, there are a loooot of people, who want to play this game so much with little to no english skills
So excited for this :D

Hear or read the different characters on Friday at the tavern? Hear implies it is voice acted which would be amazing!

@@Hoshi-Hana darn!
Do we we know if they are going to have a official discord
Unsure, but there is an Unofficial discord already! It's on Disboard
Oh! Do villagers changes outfits?
Yes! Every villager has a different outfit for every season AND a special swimsuit outfit!
I hope for switch to 😆😆

@@elithegaymer ok thanks for your information 🙏
How much for early access? 👀
$13.99 USD
Should I play this or Stardew?

Do you think we will be able to have children in the game, not now in early access but after?
They are going to be announcing a road map of future updates soon. I'll definitely let everyone know what updates are coming as soon as I know!
@@elithegaymer OK thank u
I need Hayden & Errol as an eiffel tower
I am waiting for more heart events or Polyamory to be confirmed before I buy.
