    Nice work. I know for demomtration purposes it was a quick run through. As a suggetion I found that having a wide pastic container to collect the scenic ground cover material is helpful so as not to waste it during application and can be saved or used for same day or future use. Thank you for sharing.

    Nice method, easy, cheap and quick. But can I suggest using latex gloves on your hands? They keep paint and glue off your hands. I did without them for years, but once I started using them I'll never go back the other way.

    I have poured over video after video after video after video after video afte....well, I'll save you the point I am making....However, this is without question the fastest method with relatively same results I have yet to bear witness to. Thanks!

    What gauge wire are you using. I have made a few trees from this method years ago, but don;t remember what gauge works best. Thanks in advance and very nice video.

      I looked for the package, I know it wasn't huge wire, I got to get more anyway. I know it was half the size of a metal clothes hanger.

      @@basementtrains Thanks for the info. I will see if I can find out what I used years ago.
      I am getting to the stage where I need a lot of Evergreen trees on a large mountain HO RR. I am not looking forward to making 500 to 600 trees. Even though this method is great with great results, making that many seems like a real challenge. All the best from the Jersey Shore.

      @basementtrains  8 месяцев назад +1

      The wire I got was in Walmart with all the picture hanging stuff, not a real heavy wire.

    Thanks for the clear instructions and great video! Is there a way to twist the wire without a power drill? Can it be twisted with pliers instead?

    • @basementtrains
      @basementtrains  8 месяцев назад

      I've never tried it. I just know the drill gets it tight and nothing falls out

      Safety wire pliers do the same thing, less electricity.
