i love how Pebbles, a seemingly insignificant npc, becomes the lynch pin MVP of the series.. just as Pratchett would have written her. again, i LOVE how in character everyone is, and Duncan was definitely a great addition for this adventure! him and Kim are why i started reading Discworld in the first place. can't wait to see whats coming next!
I just realised the party have ended up being the bumbling policemen NPCs in Deputy Pebble's Main Character Origin story 🤣 Successfully made themselves the bumbling comedy NPCs. Love it.
I love the middle ground that you have chosen regarding the intros. A story intro for the beginning of a series and then recaps of the episodes during the series. This was a great adventure, loved all the characters. Happy to finally see Duncan in one.
RIP Sir Terry, you were a legend of the highest order. Side note, I'm betting Duncan is glad he spent so much time with Kim, she's a font of lore for all things Pratchett
I miss the usual dramatic intro by Tom but as a huge Discworld and Pratchett fan, this is another brilliant addition to the Mystery Quest canon. Duncan is a great player and Briony (with puns) always a delight!
Absolutely loving this one, this has been such a great story! I will say, story telling heavy RPG's like this do FANTASTICALLY with "Degress of Success" in my opinion, instances where the players either lose or succeed by really big margins, because say... the competing rolls are a 1 and an 8... lol, I feel like the 8 is going to have done REALLY well, since it's a HUGE difference between the competing rolls! I personally feel that it adds a lot to the "life of the story" the dice help push the story in new ways by making things close, hard fought victories, or grand storytelling stomps to show JUST how the characters were doing! I say all of this, but you're all incredible and this is one of my favorite channels!!!
Love this so much. I'm unexpectedly watching as much of this channel as I can in the background lately. The Pratchett scenario has been perfect so far... Can't wait to see how it plays out. You guys are all brilliant
This was such a fun campaign, but narratively and mechanically. 1. The players always came up with creative ways to use their traits for dice rolls, but always ended up losing to Tom. Yet at the very end, all of them rolled high. 2. A chance encounter with a little troll girl ended up having such an emotional impact at the end. 3. And while there have been memorable characters in previous campaigns, these four were exceptional. Especially the way Lydia and Duncan played their characters.
I struggle to think of a group of people who would've done more justice to a Terry Pratchett homage. Absolutely bang on in the style and humour of the Discworld, start to finish.
Duncan in mystery quest was a BLAST hes always such a good role player and ofc Lydia Ben and Briony were amazing as well. Would love to see more DiscWorld
So much fun, nice to have a change of pace from the grittier, more serious scenarios. The whole group clearly had a great time and that made for great viewing!
glossed over ben and lyds switching targets but i appreciate how it matched up poetically, at least for ben. i was absolutely on the edge of my seat for Pebbles, what a little treasure!!!
I kinda Buggered both my arms a tad, so I opened up my phone with my nose today, felt a tad Pratchettian in doing so. *This is a comment, for the Angorythm.*
Amazing as always! I think this might be my new favorite! Good punny goodness, lots of memorable quotes and good roleplaying. I'm also intrigued by the trait-system the game employs
I went a got the late pledge for the pdfs on kickstarter due to this series, loved it and cant wait to immerse myself in discworld once again. Thanks you so much!
This was so good: I loved this. Everyone played their characters so well and Tom really brought the world to life for me. I would love to see more of this… please!?!
I know Tom said 'You don't recognize the meat' because that's just... you know, the standard response of most people who eat one of his sausages. But you have to consider: The person in question eating the sausage in apart of the Igor clan. When an Igor can't recognize what kind of meat they're eating, that's a feat in its own right.
After so many failed rolls it was amazing to see everything work out in the end. One of the best series so far. But i miss Call of Cthullu. Hope you guys go back to it soon.
In all honesty this is the first RP i've enjoyed a lot in a while. When this channel first started doing them it did remind me of the old Yogsquest videos but I kind of fell out of love with the newer ones until now. I think a major part of that is the cast/crew involved on this one works so well together in so many ways. Hope there is more of this possibly a new case to solve!
I can imagine lydias charecter later sewing the stab wound she made on john johnson, we still dont know if she got that lab at the end Also we must know if the golden reciever kept up with bens charecter, hopefully he became a police dragon so they can work together I was honestly expecting the church headmistress to be the ben murderer, or the kid secretly being a gnome and actually be an adult
I've never liked or could get into the diskworld stuff but I did like this. I thought how Lydia's character could have said a batman line and said 'shut up your going to jail' At the end I thought of Ben and pebbles like bishop (in half) and newt from aliens.
I miss the whole your on a mystery quest beginnings. I'm handing in my members "one free no questions asked change to mystery quest" to get it back please.
"Thats the best way to uphold the law, to be above it at all times" is another all time great quote from Ben
sounds like every american cop ever!
I need that on a shirt. 😂
The in-world summary from the Times perspective is a great intro! Nice

I love the Golem communicating through art.

The sound effects person is doing such a good job!
I often imagine them doing real-time foley shenanigans just behind the camera.
RIP Sir Terry, you were a legend of the highest order.
Side note, I'm betting Duncan is glad he spent so much time with Kim, she's a font of lore for all things Pratchett
i got into Pratchett because of those two. stalled out on Pyramids because i just cant find time to read any more :(
I miss the usual dramatic intro by Tom but as a huge Discworld and Pratchett fan, this is another brilliant addition to the Mystery Quest canon. Duncan is a great player and Briony (with puns) always a delight!
Detective Pebbles is the best! Love Discworld, love Mystery Quest! I hope you do more Discworld adventures in the future!
Briony is AMAZING as a role player, absolutely brilliant, I'd love to see her in more comedy games
Omg a cameo from Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler?! This series is the best!!! I hope you play more games in Discworld! Y'all have the vibes on lock 😊
Absolutely loving this one, this has been such a great story!

I agree in most cases but in discworld I think giving the dm the freedom the guide the story in a way that results in maximal humour
Whoever is doing the episode art is really onto something, like genuinely catching the pratchet vibe while also looking really good. Props!
I'm a huge fan of anything Discworld and even more of a fan of Mystery Quest. This was a top tier series, absolutely loved it.
*_*SPOILER*_*
I absolutely love the idea of Ben's legs going to jail, while his torso is still working cases 😆😆
some part of him still has to file the paper work!
probably getting their sentence extended for bringing shanks to jail
Would love to see a "sequel" to this game in the future. Easily one of your best.
Love this so much. I'm unexpectedly watching as much of this channel as I can in the background lately. The Pratchett scenario has been perfect so far... Can't wait to see how it plays out. You guys are all brilliant
This Jhonson is so bad an Engineer that his plan would have failed anyway....
Perfect a story for this setting!

This was absolutely amazing! Please do this setting again!

Did you also type with your nose?
This series was super funny with a great group. 100% want to see more Discworld stuff.
We need to see more Duncan he was great and some more Disco world wouldn't hurt whilst we're at it.
Amazing as always! I think this might be my new favorite! Good punny goodness, lots of memorable quotes and good roleplaying.

Tom's excitement when he rolls lower than his players
I went a got the late pledge for the pdfs on kickstarter due to this series, loved it and cant wait to immerse myself in discworld once again.
Thanks you so much!
This was so good: I loved this. Everyone played their characters so well and Tom really brought the world to life for me. I would love to see more of this… please!?!
I just love this channel, Mystery Quest is my absolute favourite RUclips channel 😊
What a cute little series this was. Detective Pebble is on the case!
Excellent!~
There what some genuinely funny puns throughout the entire thing and I loved it
Discworld dragons truly are the ultimate argument against evolution on the Discworld.
Time to bend the law.... of physics!
Wonder how lydia is going to top her antics in this episode.
'There's a plan to explode your offices.' - that ought to do it!
More of this! More of this!
Luckily, the dagger Lydia used was made of iron-y
wow what an ending loved it
ahhh, this was glorious. I gotta reread the Guards books, those are still some of my favorite books of all time.
Been waiting all week for this yall 🎉❤
Another great series! will be watching the members video after this of the post game chat! super excited they're always fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Mystery Quest!
Need to make Dunc and Briony look like they're made of stone in the thumbnail guys.
Another smash hit series, thanks guys! Not sure I'd play the system, but watching you guys play it was great.
Don't know discworld but I loved all three of these

Loved this series, was so close to being PG, would love to have a series could watch with my 9 yr old!

GNU pterry
This was wonderful! Great job everyone!
Seems like everyone had a ton of fun, was such a great watch! ^^
This one was just too cute, I loved it so much
I love Lydia's "Ooooohhhh!"
This was awesome though I had my doubts what with it being so narrative driven, but man, with such a cast and GM you can't really fail, can you?
This is not the story of how they saved a bridge or the dragons, but how Detective Hammerhand saved his heart!
Great episode again !
This was a lot of fun.
Loved this 😂
What's the mystery quest P.O box so I can send Ben a moral compass
Pebbles has returned and is back for that artisanal coal!
Bam
59:30 I think you'll find that in case of Ankh it's "onto", not "into"
I've never liked or could get into the diskworld stuff but I did like this. I thought how Lydia's character could have said a batman line and said 'shut up your going to jail'

I would like to see another disc world session that's set like two or three years later
I really want a sequel
I love Tom, Ben, Lydia and Briony so much
The rest are alright I guess
Damn I need to get this game...
YAY
Love you all
cool
53:16 Saint Albertus Magnus did not approve Ben's bullshit... shame
We demand moar alien at some point we need to see where the story continues in destroyer of worlds
