Thank, Wes. Yeah, I think so to. Was gonna burn it today but couldn't bare to destroy it yet, so smoked something else from a different video I'm working on.
I've considered it, and been asked often. But how interesting is it to watch a cigar sitting in a box, pressed between other cigars, for some weeks? I haven't figured out how to make that entertaining yet.
4:30 pm Always useful to have a wry sense of humor...re box pressing, I have had good success with an LFD Double Press box. It has wooden dividers and with the addition of shims you can make almost any size including box pressed Coronas or lanceros similar to Southern Draw Lustrum. Keep up the excellent work, my friend. You are an inspiration to us all 4:30 pm Aug 2
Would really appreciate it if you could do a video on blend recipes. Tell us what leaves we should keep in stock so we can roll a good blend, help us get into it a little bit.
I understand, but I don't have sufficient knowledge to help with this. I am not a blender, just a roller. I use a few leaves I get in a box every year from my connection in Central America and I don't create recipes. I just grab leaf and roll, and I try never to repeat myself, which is easy because even with just a few leaves the variations are endless. That's why cigar companies have 6 guys sitting around smoking a 100 blends to narrow it down to just one in the end.
Would love to try that, no connection in tobacco land any more. I might have to grow some. Sorry for the novice question (old guy, novice at cigar rolling), but what's the "glue". I didn't need to see this. I do like making things.
It's not a terrible hobby. And there's plenty leaf available at retail. wholeleaftobacco.com, leafonly.com. The glue is a cellulose gum called Bermocoll.
Big fan of labeling the leaf being used. Keep it up!!
Great! I will try to continue to do that as I work through the videos for this kit.
Agreed!
That’s absolutely amazing and insanely satisfying to watch

Nice job!
Have you considered doing a video on how to box press a finished cigar?

@@BlissCigarCo ah, well if you ever decide to hire someone to be one of those six guys you let me know
@@conanruisi Will do 🙂
I’m sure someone has asked, but I have not seen any rolling videos that said what that glue is made of, just curious.
Yep, popular question! I do mention it in several of my videos, but anyway, it's made of cellulose gum from vegetable fiber.
How long does the cigar stay in the mold?
Half hour, rotate, another half hour.
Interesting, I’ve never seen a 7x50 referred to as a double robusto. I always saw that size of cigar labelled as a Churchill.
I use Cuban naming conventions. In which a 7x50 is a double robusto. A Churchill is 7x47.
You wear the crown. Background music maestro please!!
how long do you rest them before you smoke?
Between an hour and a day.
Would love to try that, no connection in tobacco land any more. I might have to grow some.

@@BlissCigarCo Thanks.
So what happens to the scrap/ cut-off tobacco? Im assuming, generally, its used for other tobacco related products like cigarettes, dip, etc?
It's used in chopped filler cigars. ruclips.net/video/xc2gr4Nq1z8/видео.htmlsi=7l7K1TPo9FmdWkvk
