I just beat this boss solo on intermediate (minor victory) and it was so easy that I had to look online to see if I was going crazy or something, but I guess I just played well and ofc got lucky with what cards I could buy. I bought a lot of outposts and blue cards, then some heavy hitting reds to scrap scouts/vipers. Many times the boss couldn't get through my outposts and I was always able to destroy his bases right away. I won with 57 authority left.. Btw, as part of the set up the boss should start with a Spike Cluster in their discard pile.
Thank you for a great run through and a demonstration on how to play against this particular Frontiers Solo card! I have been playing this Boss incorrectly ... using "Ally" abilities when there isn't an ally. :( So it is great to have that straightened out for future games, and I will change my strategy to something more appropriate. :) This is probably one of the hardest Frontier Challenges to complete, so I was really impressed with just how close you got to a win. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to going through more of your videos over the coming days. Not only as a check to see I am playing correctly, but also to enjoy your solo gaming sessions and "Think out loud" conversation you have with the viewer. Your videos are entertaining, as well as informative!

I love star realms . I played it with a friend so long ago . I've been trying to get one for myself . Hope one day I can also have some star realm fun . Looks like you had so much fun man .
Played about x 15 and could reach 13 x Minor Victory (Solo). The big victory is nearly impossible and Coop is worse here. Did really someone playtested this because the Enemy is drawing an additional card per player in Coop. I like hard games but this is ridiculous.
I have been leaning pretty red in my Hero Realms games recently, it's nice to build that super streamlined deck where you're repeating the same cards so frequently..
I don't think you're supposed to shuffle the boss's cards. The instructions say that you have to put the cards in a specific order. Stinger is supposed to be on top of the deck not the Blob Alpha.
@@eliben626 Thought so to! Also the instructions doesn’t specify that, every card should only be 1x time in the deck or I‘m misunderstanding something? So for example, the „Stinger“ will come 3x times in a row(turn for turn) and also the cards would come in the specific order, that is described in the instructions, right?
@@OnePlayerForever that is not true. at 6:49 you can even see that if blob runs out of cards from deck you win(minor victory) if you win by reducing it’s authority to 0 you win(major victory)

It’s a great game! Super flexible too, works really well as a battle, co-op or solo. It shouldn’t be too expensive at your FLGS!

At 5:56 you don’t loose 2 life because you have the 4-Outpost that protects you…

You should buy the Red cards so you can scrap scouts and vipers also dont underestimate the draw a card abilities cuz theyre very strong

That's a loss! The blob have officially overrun your sector, and all is lost for humanity.
