I sewed clothing for 20 years. When I was recovering from major surgery a friend taught me how to quilt. That was in 2003. I've made over 100 quilts since then and never looked back.
It thrills my heart for you to love the season you are in. So many are never happy and can't enjoy today for wanting to get to tomorrow. You enjoy every day. It will go by fast enough. I'm happy that you are so happy. Enjoy your life.
What a unique idea to make a quilt patch for a sweatshirt...an idea for the recent sewing party that you hosted for family and friends. I'm a seasoned quilter but do not enjoy making the quilt tops. Matching tiny pieces and seams really stresses me out. Isnt it nice that we all can enjoy different aspects of homemaking, whether it be making food, gardening, cleaning and organizing the home or sewing? We all shine in one area or another.Your dry flower bouquets look charming.
❤While I watch I’m blending the flowers/herbs that I dehydrated over night to make tea bags while I still have flowers in the gardens. Your video reminded me that I have 3 pumpkins on the porch for toasting seeds & putting pumpkin purée away for winter baking. Vegan pumpkin chili with cornbread is delicious! 😊
Is there a whole new generation of sewing gadgets?! I'm still using scissors and metal pins but these new items look like they make sewing so much easier!
I have many quilted pieces from a friend. Quilted pieces and stitched pieces. Some pillowcases and some pillows. I know the time consuming effort to make those pieces. And I treasure them.
Your sweater looks great. I have made a baby sized quilt, it definitely takes more concentration than sewing a simple dress but so worth it. I've had a lot of fun the last several years with making patchwork donations covers for all my children , it's pretty easy and looks like a quilt. Bonus is that they're so easy to wash . Either the cover or dooba or both. I can swap out the summer doona for winter too. A charm quilt might be a fun way to keep quilting for you. My daughter still has hers at the end of her bed or as a Lap rug on cool days. Thank you for sharing lovely ❤
I love this! We are in a very similar stage on our homemaking journey! I started quilting earlier this year and I’m so much more overwhelmed by garments so that really must be a thing! I’m 20 weeks pregnant with our first baby on this side of eternity and I’m working on her baby quilt! It’s been so fun!
I just put the whole pumpkin in the oven! Super easy to cut into when its done (you'll know its done if you can poke into the skin with a fork) and scoop out the seeds, then scoop out the rest and use an immersion blender to puree! Works with squash too. :)
Try making gnocchi in a pumpkin sauce. Also, just cut ur pumpkin in half prick it with a fork and bake it cut side down til it’s tender and it will just spoon out like butter. Btw, love your videos. ❤
Very cozy video! A suggestion for your pumpkin. I always cut it in half or quarter it (depending on size) and put it on a pan with skin side up, roast it until fork tender, and peel it right away when I take it out! Keep up the good work. I love your videos!
I love your channel! Video suggestion, please! My husband is severely lactose intolerant. We use vegan cheeses and lactose free milks, but I'd love to see what brands and substitutions you make! I feel like I may be able to learn more from you! Thanks for the great content! 😊
Off the top of my head: Kevin's and Amylu for paleo meals, mayo based sauces are your friend, we eat a lot of Asian food, nut pods for coffees/lattes, cashew milk is a good substitute in creamy pastas! I find that it tastes better to eat natural things I CAN have than find a dairy free alternative. For example: when we make pizzas, a lot of times I just leave cheese off entirely. I look at it as just another flavor that can be replaced with a different topping! Same with Mexican food! I just really do up the other parts of the meal so that it doesn't feel like it's missing much! :) hope that helps!
Hey Andrea! Tip for quilt blocks: I wouldn't use the Wonder Clips to pin. They just don't hold as well as straight pins. Glass head straight pins with a fine shaft work so much better! I hope that helps, I'm a quilter about your age and love seeing all your sewing projects! Your sweater turned out especially cute and now I totally want to make one. Wish we could be sewing friends irl 😊
Haha yes quilting takes forever! I enjoy making the quilt tops but don’t enjoy putting it together and hand stitching the binding on…let’s just say I have a few quilt tops that need to be completed 😅
I agree with the lady from Sweden you and your sisters are wonderful ladies great moms and very talented with your creativity. Also, I loved your top bun. It was adorable.
You mentioned that you want to learn to cook more Asian meals. Below will be three channels I can guarantee you'll like. Arron & Clair are based in South Korea. They are adorable. Mandy at Souped Up Recipes is from China. She and her husband are based in South Florida. Marion's Kitchen. Marion's mom is from Thailand. Mama Noi is awesome.

Hi’ I’m from Sweden ’ I should realy love to here your mother tell what she did to have 3 fantastik daughters! Maby homeschooling? Love to Watch your Videos!
Loved yet another video! Just wondering, where did you get the pattern from for the quilt block? I have been looking for something like that and its just perfect that it popped up on your video today! Love how the sweater came out!
Wow never thought to use pumpkin for a pizza . I’m vegan so how did you like it with the vegan cheese??? And also is there some reason you didn’t use Italian seasoning in the pumpkin sauce? Maybe because of a different flavor profile you were going for or something
Agree. I think she sewed a pair of shorts once and I was flabbergasted. Quilts are much easier for me. Even though I can sew garments, I’m a straight seam kind of girl.

You are like a breath of fresh air! Such a joy to watch you grow, learn and change as a new mom. 😊
Thank you so much!
Just put your pumpkin cut in half in a pan flesh side down and a wee bit of water and bake at 350. When soft scoop and purée! So much easier!

I really believe that life is what you make of it. Even in the valleys of life, so many blessings are still to be had. I love having a simple life
I am a longtime quilter, and you did a great job! Proud of you!

Pumpkin Fettuccine 😍 it is my FAVORITE. This is my signal that fall has begun, and I look forward to it every year. Seriously so good.
Pumpkin muffins are wonderful with the lattes

For the pizza did you season the puree with anything before you put it on the pizza crust?
Question? What was the silver thing you were using to iron the hem? That was so cool. Love to have one. Thank you!
I❤you attitude and energy. All the best

Love what you did with that sweat shirt
I find cutting a pumpkin or squash quite a work !

Hey 🙂 do you know what kind of pumpkin it is? I would love to plant it in my garden next season 😊
I do not, my neighbor put one in our compost last year and it took off like a weed!
What was the name of the flower you dried in bundles?! So pretty! I couldn’t catch the name
Gomphrena
God bless
Good morning from NC
You didn’t take baby steps for your first quilt! In ‘86 I began with a nine patch.
Lovely embellishment.
❤😊😋
Garment sewing is incredibly difficult for me. Even the pattern is like reading a different language. 😫
