We visited Pompei while in Naples. What a great ancient city. It was covered with 13 to 20 feet of ash in 79 AD after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Pompei was rediscovered in the late 16th century.
What great attraction to experience. One of the highlights of my life. Italy has so many great attractions.
We used Get your Guide. We booked ahead of time and prices were reasonable. You can cancel up to the day before if need be. Just be careful as some of the admission prices are an extra cost in addition to cost of tour. We also had trouble paying on line through the GET YOUR GUIDE app. Pay pal seemed to work fine with the app as opposed to using your credit card. The other issue is you are limited on time during the tours.
