1991 Salem High Basketball vs. Bishop Fenwick (Div. 2 State Tournament)

March 3, 1991 was a warm Sunday afternoon in the Salem High School field house. And it was practically bursting at the seams for a Division 2 North quarterfinal game between two schools that were separated by just three miles. 3,000 fans decided to spend their Sunday afternoon watching the best go at it. Rick was Rick as he finished with 39 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Casey Arena collected 25 hard-earned points while being contested for every inch of the floor by Joey Toups. "Coach" Jack O'Brien said. "It was a road game for us, a state tournament road game, I just remember us walking into the field house and it felt like we were in the movie 'Hoosiers.' It was like we were entering the (Hinkle) Fieldhouse in Indianapolis."
