I just got a RX 580 4GB for £140 from a local facebook group, I have done a video of it on my channel. I think these older cards are still worthwhile if you can get them at the right price, just make sure you aren't overpaying by loads and try to buy local if you find a deal out there during these times. Keep up the great videos mate, you are very good at making high quality videos far better then your current subscriber number would suggest.
Rx 480 4gb served me well before my GTX 1070. It's one hell of a card. The vram is a minor issue most games aren't gonna need more then 4gb so in most cases it's a non issue
I've been waiting for this. I've got the parts to build two rigs one will have an XFX RX 480 4GB and the other an Asus Rog Strix GTX 1070ti Gaming OC. I plan on selling them at a decent price people have been ripped off enough as of late to begin with im not going to contribute to it. The current state of the GPU market means PC gaming is out of reach for many people and with not been able to get a 9th generation console i imagine a lot of people aren't looking forward to the new games releasing.
Nice video! You did an excellent job. I have a 3GB Radeon HD 7950 paired with an FX-8320 so you can probably imagine the lag that occurs in certain games. I would love to have a 4GB card and hope to upgrade my motherboard, CPU, and RAM soon. I can get a newer GPU down the road.
Thank you for this video! I'm a Proud owner of a Gigabyte Rx480 8gb #Overclocked to 1340mhz (core) & 2150mhz (memory). Hopefully we get a stock vs Overclock video soon since you did reviews on both cards :)
Yeah I grabbed a 480 4gb nitro+ around the same time for £65. I feel ripped off now knowing you could get them for £50 🤣 Its now in my daughter system with a R3 3100, 16gb 3200mhz ram. Great little set up.
Machine I game on quite a bit has a RX 480 4GB (bought the card new back in early 2017 for $190) paired with a xeon E-2146G with 64GB ECC memory on an Asus WSC246M-pro mainboard. Kind of an odd-ball machine to game on really, but good for abusing with lots of memory hogging apps.
Just upgraded to 3060Ti but to be honest the 480 4GB still does a perfectly good job at 1080p! So now I've got to buy a new high refresh 1440p display to go with it...
@@ShadowOfNexxus I'd get a 1080P display for the RX 480 otherwise performance will suck in most games. That's shit what happend to your 3060ti are they not going to replace it ?
@@IcebergTech I got mine for $180 a few months after it came out in 2016. Five years later and I could sell it for a profit... All this makes me sad :(
@@IcebergTech It just super low FPS (even on the lowest settings) and Super stuttery but it's weird because in offline mode the game runs decently but online it just can't keep up. The reason why i'm looking for a new graphics card. It doesn't make sense to me though bc i can run d2 just fine.
@@SadlyEmbers lol okay, I'm pretty old and can't keep up with the acronyms, I guess D2 is Diablo 2? Or Dishonored 2, Doom 2, D2 for the Dreamcast... :) Anyway, the 480 should be able to beast through any of the D2s I can think of! There's a problem elsewhere I think, maybe drivers, maybe thermals or power.
@@IcebergTech ah I mean Destiny 2 my bad forgot how many D2s there is haha. The card works great for every game I’ve installed except for Escape From Tarkov for some reason. Destiny 2 runs smooth enough to game on.

the production value of this channel is insane i hope you can progress to atleast 500k this year
It is amazing knowing that a 4 year old GPU it is still powerful for 1920 * 1080 gameplay. Never been disappointed

Yea. A friend sold me his RX480 (8GB) for only 100€. He could easily get double on ebay.

Picked up this card for $50 a few months ago it worked great.
I got my Rx480 4gb two years ago 2nd hand for 120€. Great decision!
These were incredible for the £50 refurbished (and delivered) from an ebay uk seller, just under 18 months ago. We never knew how good we had it!
I might have gotten some from the same seller, a place called Realtime Distribution. Think I bought 3... happy days!

Yess my rx480 4gb time! Sadly i am cpu bound so I can't really push my card in some games.
my 4gb r9 290x tri-x, with some OC exceeds the 8Gb rx 580 on various tests, such as superposition!
Smart game developers would target a rx460 as a baseline considering the chip shortage and scalpers

Wow, I had to look up that CPU on Ark! It seems to be the Xeon i7-8700, should be a really strong CPU for a while yet

I picked up an Asus MG279 a couple of years back for a good price. It's discontinued now, but it's going to be good enough for me!

I went from a 3060 Ti to a 480 cause it died I was surprised it actually kinda held up in 1440p like in watch dogs 2.

On the plus side with Warzone, it looks like the devs have finally fixed the shadows on Kepler GPU's.

In the u.s. you can't get the 480 for under 250$
