    I just started my own Hvac company last December and I’d really like to get into combustion analysis. I don’t know much about it and I would like to learn… there are quite a few options and they are very pricey. Are they all good? I love that this is integrated with measurequick. Just trying to figure out which one I should purchase for next winter. Thank you Jim for your hard work and providing high quality videos/training for the products you endorse!

      Right now a basic Sauermann is the best bang for the buck. It will do everything you need at a great price.Thanks for the feedback.

    thanks for taking the time to give us more information on these tools. I just started my own company and recently purchased the 130. the Manuel does not come with very much instruction. I would love in you come up with a step by step, video of how to use this tool while using different processes . for example testing a unit that is running great, and its results and a unit that has a cracked heat exchanger , its reading and going through the heat exchanger verification process . just want to make sure I am taking proper measurements and using the tool correctly. Thank you ! God Bless!

    Just picked up 3 of the 030s, delivered today, so have not actually used one yet, just charging batteries and doing firmware updates.
    Seems well built, it should be quite an upgrade over having to scan the QR code on the Insight+ screen!

    Interesting unit, I bought the BluFlame, I'm curious if the BluFlame has any field replaceable sensors? Can you do both draft and combustion at the same time with the BluFlame?

    Does the MeasureQuick printer work the same with the Sauermann. Especially interested in having a heat exchanger integrity test printout to leave with the combustion printout on the job site.

    I hate the k type as well, it is and does feel cheap! The Testo been good enough ! The new fieldpiece is super the cat 85 that is. Plus minus 10 or plus mins 20 ppm is so close! Fp has a 1 ppm resolution so that fine!! Way better than most cause most dont test!! I love to see the fieldpiece cat 85 on measuresuick!!

    • @measureQuick
      @measureQuick  Год назад

      Close but it is the deference between compliance and non-compliance. Above 9 ppm is a call to action. If you cannot measure it you don’t know. We are prescribing specific testing that technicians should be doing. We cannot do the testing with analyzers that do not meet the minimum requirements.

    Fieldpiece cat85 should be on measure quick. That CA looks ridiculous to hook up compared to Fieldpiece.

    • @measureQuick
      @measureQuick  Год назад

      Simple, because measurements matter. The Fieldpiece does not meet the ANSI/BPI-1200-S-2017 Standard Practice for Basic Analysis of Buildings. The testing that we are doing in measureQuick and that you should be doing requires the analyzer meets certain standards for ambient CO testing and for testing heat exchangers (AHRI standard X). The only analyzers that I know of that currently meet that standard are Bacharach and Sauermann.

      @@measureQuick you must not be talking about the fieldpiece Cat85 because it does everything that you’ve listed. And if this is something that doesn’t qualify, why do you sell it at true tech?

    • @measureQuick

      @@BoilerMaker56
      Well, I do not own TTT anymore, but we still work together. My guess is because they sell Fieldpiece, and it is listed as a combustion analyzer and FP has customers that want their products. If you just use it for combustion it does exactly what it says it does. They also clearly stated the accuracy. We really have to vet the products we recommend for measureQuick as we are going beyond combustion and considering also the rest of the testing you need to perform beyond what is measured in the stack. While you are correct it does measure ambient CO it does not meet the specifications. From their manual. It does not meet the standards for ambient CO testing.
      Ambient CO
      Range: 0 to 200 ppm Best resolution: 1 ppm Accuracy: ±20 ppm

      They are both good analyzers. I like the color coded connections and the simultaneous draft a lot. The price point is really good on the entry level model. The water trap is also easier to maintain. They are solid.

    • @measureQuick

      The pump in the analyzer would impact the reading. For most applications that have a draft hood you need two holes regardless. One for draft and one for undiluted combustion gas.
