Haha facts
Bro, we barely see the truck, the camera is all on you
Hahaha I have a few update videos where I just show the truck
Is your truck 4x4
Nope not a 4x4 that's why I went with the maxtrac lift they specialize in 2wd
something isn’t right. my ram is on 6” lift with 35s & my truck sits at 44”
I have no clue how high my ram actually sits I have 20 inch wheels though with 35s
I'm considering doing the 7" maxtrac lift on my 2014 Ram 1500 2wd out of curiosity did you go with maxtrac shocks or Fox shocks? I'm in between the two shocks so if you could let me know as well others, comment on this subject also
I'm late on this sorry about that. I didn't think anyone still watched this vid. I went with maxtrac shocks and they have been perfectly fine I have had to replace one because the bushings went out. Actually maxtrac just sent me a new shock for free.. I was just asking them about the bushing but they sent me a new shock. Hope that helps
@treydkicks thank you for getting back to me. I'm doing my research on lifts, and so far, maxtrac is the one best for an rwd that has the two-piece driveshaft i have read a few reviews on maxtrac shocks it's mixed so far i might go with fox instead
Does the truck drink more gas after you lift it, how much more?
Also how much did the lift kit cost do you have the link?
35’s??
Did you have to do a re- gear cause of the 35's tires ?
Nope not at all
@treydkicks okay thank you
Do u have 35s or 37
These are 35s I think 37 would fit but these are good
@@treydkicks thanks
I never not once in my life, needed a 4x4. I tell guys that all the time as their 4wheel drive won’t even switch into 4 wheel drive because they haven’t used it in so long! Lol
Haha man.. #facts right there.. I just know I'm never going to need it. It's a waste of money for me and I'm not willing to pay for 2 transmissions lol
I had a 2wd Ram never had a problem till we went to visit Family in Salty Lake City for Christmas...driving in snow sucks ...I now have a newer Ram 4x4 I love it...I do live in the desert so now I just ride around with more confidence in dirt roads
Luís Garcia yea I live in south Florida. Only rain down here.
@@heavyhitta52 mann but I know its nofe out there
Truck intro. Same intro, just hand out keys instead of the Supreme 5s.
Hahaha mannnnnnn that's not a bad Idea for real you on to something
I was gonna get the rough country 6 inch lift but the maxtrac comes with coils instead of spacers in the rear so now I'm actually thinking of going with maxtrac for around $500 more.
This will definitely be my next step with my 2014 ram 1500 2wd, thanks for the review.
Man you will love it for real. I'm glad I did it everyday i drive it, and I get so many looks.
I have the same truck. Crew cab in true blue pearl. I’m looking for a lift kit as well
Brother if your not going off road,
You don't need 4wd. I have a 2014 Ram 1500 4wd. Q. Have I been off road ? A, when I park the truck,
I have a gravel driveway. I have never used the 4wd . I've turned it on. Works great.
Thanks, more videos please....
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hear you bro..I didnt want to deal with it.. I have had a transmission go out on me. I love this truck though.
@@treydkicks
The transmission is the weak spot on these Dodge trucks. I've blown up the rear differential on an 02 Ram 1500. I like them all but I'd most likely only own a Dodge.
The Ford's have engine problems
Across the board with the F250 diesel the 6.0 L , 6.4 L , 6.7 L the Chevrolet 2500hd Duramax diesel
The LB7 with the Allison Transmission is by far the best.
Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins is the most reliable of them all. Your truck
Is a 4th gen with eather the 8 or 10 speed transmission. If you paid a shop or did it your self theirs an audience here for you.
Thanks
@@DMACHOLMAN mannn.. I know that wasnt a good freling.. I pray this one never goes out.. I was a little scared with the drive shaft being not at its normal spot but so far the truck has held up nice since the lift
@@treydkicks
You have nothing to worry about. My 2002 was the base model of first of the 3rd gen body style. Never be a first adopter lol ! Midcycle refreshes normally correct known problems in a given model. My 2014 has been trouble free. Just the normal wear items tires, breaks, belts, battery I normally keep them 11 or 12 years.
This one I've driven to Oklahoma and Louisiana it's my daily, they are so expensive now I bought this one used. It had 19,000 miles on it 5 years ago. Enjoy it for what it is. It's replacement has probably been built already.
Thanks
@@DMACHOLMAN man that's great advice I really appreciate it. Always good to hear something positive about the truck and always good to have good convo on here. I'm going to ride this truck till the wheels fall off lol.
Ur truck inspired me... check me out at Nobody's Business ... my Ram 1500 set up
Dope... I know im late but ill for sure go check it out!!
If u don't know ask ya girl lol I'm weak 😂😂
Haha that extra inch makes a difference bro lol
How you avg 16.3mpg? Man I’m gettin 12 tops
Ryan Kelley lmao im at a solid 10.1 constantly 😂😫
About to put the same lift on hi ow bad was your alignment after u lifted your truck
Looks amazing 🍻🍻🍻🍻
What up bro.. hope all is well.. appreciate you. Been a long time coming I have been waiting to lift this truck
Ima jus leave this wit you 😑😑😑😑🤦🏾♂️ and you know what I’m talkin bout
Haha mannnnnn. Dont do me like that..it will never be the same
Trey D Kicks I’ve got no words man smh lol.
@@ValiantPursuit 🤣🤣🤣
Bruh what’s up with Footlocker not allowing us to reserve the BlueGame 12’s
Man it must be alot of them.out here cause they fcfs at our footlockers.. but yeezys coming out too tho
Trey D Kicks True
I have a lifted 2wd also. I live in the desert and hunt a ton. I didn’t need 4wd but I did need ground clearance.
Nice. How does it work our for you? Have you run into any problems? I just recently got the wheels rotated and balanced and an alignment and its better than when I first got the lift
Trey D Kicks no. Not really any issues at all tbh.
When I first got mine lifted I heard a clicking noise on full turns. But I think it just baaaarlwy rubbed somewhere because it went away lol
@@jakehart9891 mannn glad it's all good now. I didn't hear any noise at all and keeping my fingers crossed. I'm still good now
Your truck def looks bad a$$ with the wheels! I am thinking of more ways to mod my Grand Cherokee too....
Appreciate that fam. I love to drive it now it turns heads... I know you trick out the Cherokee for real.
@@treydkicks After I was invited to test drive the SRT and Trackhawk now I'm thinking of doing a trade-in instead of more mods lol....
How’s the truck riding now after 10 months? I’m looking at the Maxtrac 7” for my truck so just wondering how it’s holding up.
It's doing really well actually. I had the tires rotated and an alignment done a couple months ago and it's still riding like stock
Trey D Kicks Fa shooo! Thanks my dude! I appreciate the feedback! Truck looks raw af 💪🏼💪🏼 def gonna get kit then lol
Have the same lift on my truck but for some reason have a bad vibration coming from the rear end at about 70mph plus can you send me a pic of your rear end so I can see if anything looks different
Mannnn that's no good.. I have been up to about 90 in mine and it still rides smooth... yeah I can you got an IG??
Trey D Kicks
Yeah Dylan_peele
Appreciate it man
@Dylan Peele look under your truck. You might have the 2 piece driveshaft. If so you going to need the driveshaft spacer kit to drop it down and level it back out. That should solve your problem
@@85cutryder that's a good point.. mine was a 2 piece. I don't think I needed the spacer for this lift
I have the same lift! Rides amazing...I also did the Max Trac upper control arms. Rides much smoother. Worth the upgrade I also went with the fox shocks.
Unfortunately, the maxtrac UCA is disconnected
I just did a 6.5 lift on a 2wd but when i hit 70mph it starts to wobble is it normal?
Its not normal it should be smooth.. did they do an alignment?
No i only got my tires balanced
@@oscarin1014 it needs an alignment bro. Everything has changed with the truck now as far as suspension. You need to get an alignment ASAP
Trey D Kicks you might have to extend the drive shaft
@@gonzalocruz2490 luckly i didnt have to. I think if it would have been 2 inches more I would have had to
- no wobbling in Highway ?? I had a 7” maxtrac on my old ram once I would hit 70 -75 it would wobble pretty bad .
Yeah if I go about 80 it will but I need to have the tires balanced and rotated
Hear me out!!! I had the maxtrac lift and shocks... the front shocks aren’t even necessary and the bottom bushing tore up and ruined my whole suspension!!!!! The bottom of the shock has a bushing and they are notorious for riipping and failing !
I ended up putting new Monroe shocks and it improved the ride dramatically but the damage was done.. upper ball joints were destroyed lower ball joints trashed lower control arm bushings were gone. Sway bar end links ... you name it and they were toast
I worry about that myself man. I know I'm going to have to replace the bushings at some point. How long was it before it all started messing up?
Trey D Kicks I say around the year mark I started hearing knocking coming from the suspension... I looked and the Bottom fork bracket had NO bushing at all on the driver side and the passenger side one only had half of the bushing left... I guess it got progressively worse and I never noticed the ride quality drop. Invest in some 120$ shocks for the pair at oreilly or something... they are pretty cheap and ride great!
Trey D Kicks I wish I had the photos of the bottom shock.. it was literally metal on metal
@@abelscaliber7969 damn that's no good for real...appreciate the heads up
Looks good bro.
Appreciate it fam.. been waiting to do this for a min now
3.21 or 3.92 gears? I have the same truck with the 3.21s and am trying to figure out if the 3.21 can handle 35s or 37s
I love the ride quality and the height but now I want the 3 inch body lift
Yo I still love the height on this truck.. It still turns heads everywhere i go.
Did you have ton run new control arms?
Nope same factory control arms. Runs just as smooth as stock if not better. I love this lift
@@treydkicks what about the driveshaft spacers brother? Do you have a 2 piece driveshaft?
@@ontheroadtrucks3178 it's a one piece. But I not sure if they put a spacer on there
So no issues at all with ball joints? Hella curious. Looks like this is a better route than going with just a leveling kit on the front
As of today still good. Its been just about a year since I got the lift done.. i love it
Trey D Kicks dammm boi, makes me hella wana do it . Time to save up then ,right on thanks man
@@albertodiaz6164 I love mine for real its for sure a head turner.
Setup is perfect. It’s what I’m looking for and also change out your gearing ratio to accommodate the larger tires. It’ll help your mpg
I never thought about that. I put in a K&N intake and that helped out alot. Im around 15mpg now if i didnt I would be around 10-12
Thinking about goin bigger on the wrangler.
Yeahhhh bro.. I think I remember you telling me that.. do it bro
not bad bro but people gone hate no matter what but keep the same intro just change the shoes and put the keys
Does all 2wd trucks had that 2 piece drive shaft
Not all of them but many do
Truck looks clean. How much did you pay for the lift? Currently I have a 4” and wanted to go taller.
imma be at sneaker con this weekend hopefully I see you imma post a vlog to be ready Trey D
nice!
Had to do it cuzzo..
What’s the offset?
35 by -10
Hope that helps
Yea it does I was trying to get a ball park figure on what my offset should be I’m putting fender flares on my truck
@@Peakbaby ohh nice... man I have wanted some for my truck too.. just havent gotten around to getting them yet.
Trey D Kicks . Bro you should your truck is nice AF
Did you have to use rear wheel spacers sense the front wheels stick out more?
Nice af.
Very dope my man... and CLEAN!!!
🔥🔥🔥❤🙏
Appreciate you watching for real
Ha if you would have followed his Instagram you would have seen it early 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha that's real
