HEY GUYS JUST A QUICK NOTICE!!!! I'm going to be redoing part two of this tutorial. I found a WAY easier way of playing it that actually sounds more accurate. I'm anticipating putting up in the next month (hopefully). You can try the version I already have up, but I will be deleting the one I currently have up after I upload the updated version :)
This is great!! I'm still kind of confused on the picking pattern. I know you pluck the fifth and second string at the same time (every other time) but I get lost after that, do you think you could help give me a better understand meant ?? And also on the very first part when you go down a string, the third string I think it is, is it the same picking pattern?? It's just I've been wanting to learn this song for the longest time and this is like the best tutorial since it's the only one that sounds like the actual song. Thanks a lot :)
The part where I said you were going to hit the bass note "every other time" I meant that every other time that you hit a note in the melody you would hit the low C sharp string. So the melody that I'm talking about is where your finger goes from 12, 10, 8, 5, 3, etc. you would hit the bass note while playing the note in the 12th fret, 10th 8th fret, and 3rd fret (every other note in the melody. (Making sense so far?) Also the part where you go down a string, yes, you do maintain the same picking pattern MOTION wise. You just kinda smush it down to be spread over 4 strings as opposed to 5 strings after that. Please tell me if you have anymore questions :)
T2Exile Two of the strings are tuned down but the rest are tuned up. I’ve actually learned that when they play this song live they kind of “warm up” the strings by playing other songs with some weird tunings like this.
Hi Lorena I was wondering if you can help me out this song even tho yes, I am fully aware that your showing how to play the song which my the way love it but, I was just wondering id can so me hope personally i'm hope that we can go live stream together and you can hear what mistakes I'm making I really wanna play this so for some I love please I need some help
I'm a horrible teacher and I can admit to that. I really didn't learn anything though by having anyone teach me step by step, I had to learn this one by playing around with it a lot. I think for this song it's also important to play around with the picking pattern a lot while you are learning it because of the melody having to be thrown in with it (which is difficult enough to learn by itself if you ask me). Not to mention, it fuels creativity. Plus, its a video. you can stop, pause, rewind, and move forward as much as you please. If you have further questions, I'd be happy to answer as many as I can :)
btw, Ill try to describe the picking pattern here as best I can down here. 1 being the highest string, 6 being the lowest: 6 2 3 6 4 3 2 5 the 5 and six you play at the same time. Again, you'll have to play around with the melody and picking pattern to find out where the notes go, I would ALMOST go as far as to say that the picking pattern slightly changes while you play it if you play it right.

You just taught me how to play this... Thank you
Is your new method also in C#?
Trying to find a way without a weird tuning haha :3
No, all of them have weird tuning unfortunately
Lorena Lopez ah ok! I'll still check it out anyway :) It's such a hassle to have to change the tuning to play one song xD

So are some of the strings tuned up?? Im confused as hell im using my tuner and I can't find D# g# C for the standard tuned D G B strings...
Thank you for the tutorial ❤
When you tune the guitar from standard tuning, do you tune up or tune down to match this hazards tuning ?

Can you teach me how to get that guitar tune :) cant find it on youtube please
use a tuner, and its not a real tuning
what the best way to learn the picking pattern

Thank you so much!
I see you can play it well but the explanation isn't the best.
you go to fast and dont break down the picking pattern

I’m pretty sure it’s Travis picking. If you look up how to play dust in the wind most tutorials break down the pattern
