Having not flown the Christen Eagle II in 8 months, will I remember how to fly and land this little aerobatic stunt plane? Let's find out!

And I say Command T as Command Tango
Awesome! Glad you like it! 🙏
Great another DCS content ,
Wait a minute ..
I loved getting my tail dragger endorsement and basic aeros... opened up a whole new world of piloting. o7
Yeah it’s great isn’t it! 😀
Thats a good looking plane! This was awesome man!
Great to hear 🙏
AMAZING. didnt know you flew this
3:48 Not like an Eagle........perhaps a Christen Eagle? 😂
Interessting how wild the altimeter fluctuates when you get on full power.
Yeah, my main altimeter is actually in the rear cockpit, down by the radios. That one is steady. You can’t even reach to adjust the QNH for the one in the front cockpit when you’re flying solo
Would a similar test flight be made if it was the first ever flight for this airframe?
Good question. I would guess so! But I’m not sure if there’s some special rules for that.
How does it feel in DCS though is the real question?
Not great. That’s why I don’t fly it in DCS. They modelled the roll axis pretty good but it’s pretty bad in every other way 😞
smh dude really wasted 30 bucks on this smh, should have purchased a fc aircraft instead
Comparing your experience flying airplanes in real life and the DCS flight model, how close to reality is putting a number from 1 to 10 in terms of flight sensation?
Very hard question to answer as it depends on the module and the situation. In general, if comparing the Christen Eagle - it’s not very good in DCS, but then again there has never been a very good aerobatic aircraft simulation in any sim. If looking at fighter jets, I’ve never flown them in real life of course but I think a lot of them feel very real. Some better than others. Almost all flight model have flaws but from all the sims I’ve tried DCS is definitely able to get it closer to reality than most other sims. So overall it’s very good I think. The Christen Eagle is just not the best but it’s an odd ball compared to other DCS modules.
