I was at Barron's concert when he played this beautiful piece. My cousin called me in the middle of Barron's concert, which I declined. Four hours later, my cousin was hit and killed by a hit and run. This piece will forever remind me that my cousin was just wanting to check on me one last time. It's such a beautiful song 🎵 💞
Thanks you, Barron, I heard you play this in Crookston tonight and loved it. I trust you or someone will write the lyrics. When you play it, I can hear my favorite singers doing it justice such as Emmylou Harris, Iris Dement, and Gillian Welch.
This song is the perfect goodbye: tender; touching; wistful. Nothing helps the pain of any loss like 4 minutes, 2 seconds of weepfest. Get the hankies out. Listen to it; blow your nose, and listen to it again. I highly recommend this lovely song.
I agree. But I’d do upright, string bass, fiddle, clarinet, sax and percussion. I could live without any backup for you because I’m a sucker for finishing an old, weary bottle of whiskey, all alone, listening to this sweet song played by you alone at a piano. But you’re younger, Barron, probably not alone, and you deserve more and better. More importantly, the world deserves you, and the more, the better. This video should have 89k listeners and 88.999 likes and an odd fade-off with ringtones at the end which is calls for you from 14 recording labels, three documentarians, two film rights agents, a GQ cover scout and schedulers from the Monterey and Newport jazz festivals. Did I mention the Kamala Harris Inauguration Ball? Whoops, pretend you didn’t hear that, but leave the date very, very empty. The perfect backup musicians, a great agent and diehard fans-and we’ll never have you to ourselves again on a foggy night, sippin great rye and listening to a Barron moment of piano perfection, sittin’ on a dock by The Bay.

My dad's taking his last breaths in hospice while I play this composition on loop. Thank you for helping this transition with your art.
I’m honored to provide the soundtrack to this moment in your life. May peace be with you.
@@BarronRyan Thank you, btw.

High praise; thank you! I would love for words to be put to the tune. If you know a good lyricist, let me know!
Heard about you because of a concert you're doing here in Omaha on Sunday. Holy SMOKES, this is gorgeous!
Thank you!!

Thank you, and thank you for coming to the concert!
you've gotta arrange this for upright, acoustic, fiddle, slide guitar
Aaah, that'd be killer.
