Maya mentioned in one of their vlogs that they listened to a lot of English songs when they were trainees, and I'm sure even now to familiarize themselves with the pronunciation, diction, etc. And also, you can tell they're just passionate about music
Not all of the artists that do this for Elle get perfect. Matter of fact XG is one of the only ones to do it so I doubt there is prep. The only questionable ones are all the clues that lead to a song by the artist because there is one or two every time
