in summary: Herman miller drew the beautiful sketch of a scenery, Logitech colored it blue.
When you give a book report and you didn´t read the book
Been using a Herman Miller Sayl for about a year now and my back thanks me for it, honestly, all gamers that plan to keep gaming for the rest of their lives should invest in a chair that will properly support them for the long sessions we do!
Which model of theirs are you using?
@@mecares3898 Herman Miller Sayl but again, all plastic, love it though, helped my back so much!
FeralGingerGamer for real though, I recently decided I should invest as much if not more in a chair than I have in my bed because I literally use my chair more hours than my bed.
@@JayLooney Absolute logic mate! I get that I can regularly do 6-10 hour sessions in the seat, especially if editing! They're so worth it!
@@FeralGinger I managed to pick up a hg new logic for 350 euro at a company bankruptcy sale, they also had some herman miller chairs there but the hg logic was the winner comfort and adjustability wise for me :) . ergonomic chairs literally fixed my back pain overnight (coming from a dxracer gaming chair)
Logitech: Herman Miller! We want to partner up with you and design the perfect Gamer chair! Alright, here's our research! Let's start with what you got and modify it from there.

Haha yep added a little foam, slapped their logo on, and called it a day.

Funny thing is it’s even cheaper than the original Embody
Well yeah. But still better than a racing gaming chair xd
BAHAHAHA 😂😂
It's an expensive chair, but essentially you're investing in your health, not just a chair.
Best I can do is $40 and a McDonald’s coupon.
Im glad we can finally see some good gaming chairs. Ive only been using ergo chairs because most gaming chairs are garbage. Hope the trend changes towards this
Agreed, but if before these types of chairs can go mainstream, they need to make these chairs affordable for the average "gamer". Why would I spend $1,495 on a chair when I can get a higher end ergonomic chair with adjustable lumbar support for around $350 or so. I mean this chair is targeted towards "gamers" but I'm pretty sure most would spend that money building a PC. The Nvidia 3000 series' details will be announced next month and I could buy a reputable ergonomic chair and a new graphics card for the price of this chair. I really love Logitech and their products but I wouldn't buy this.
@@1nfuzion people can spend 1k on a monitor but not on the chair they use daily? its about mindset, people have yet to realize the importance of a good chair i think. a lot of gamers are adults with income. I spent 1500$ on my HÅG ergonomic chair and it might seem like a lot but it comes with a life time warranty on the gass lift and like 10 year warranty on the textiles that i can get mailed if it gets worn out so when you buy a quality chair its a long term investment in your health and comfort imho. These ergonomic chair vendors usually deal with big companies who needs a ton of chairs as cheap as possible and yet theyre still willing to spend extra on the chairs, its because you save on it being a long term investment instead of having cheap plastic wheels on the chairs that break into pieces because you rolled your chair a bit awkwardly over your carpet.
@@WatashiwaToyotaHondadesudesu Definitely a niche market but that definitely is not the majority of gamers. My point still stands that I don't think this will enter the mainstream unless they significantly lower the price or they offer a more affordable option. Also I don't disagree with you that people should take care of their bodies but I have a similar chair with lumbar support and adjustables for a fraction of the cost. Also there is no way to tell that the chair will last a long time as it has just released.
@@1nfuzion it's herman miller and its basically a straight up copy of another design herman miller has used before so i think by looking at reviews of that chair you can validate how well built it is but i personally trust herman miller so i'd feel safe going for this option. But yeah you can spend your money on whatever you feel is most important, i feel like as you grow you start investing more into different things. Like when you start gaming you dont really buy a proper monitor so your gpu goes to waste, or you buy gaming headphones instead of getting a DAC/AMP with proper headphones. Over time you learn and buy quality over quantity. I look at a chair purchase the same way i look at buying a power supply, i bought an expensive seasonic titanium power supply because i know ill use it for at least 3 builds in the future.
🍜
I’ve had my Logitech Embody for over 3 months now and I love everything about the chair. It forces me to sit up straight and in good posture. Leaning back is also nice but wished it had forward tilt. I get hot but not as hot in this chair. This chair is the best chair money can buy for sure. It’s well worth the price tag.
gonna take me a while to save up for this but I really hope you guys keep selling this for a while this seems like a must have for any series gamer
Finally got mine a few days ago after nearly a couple months of waiting...and I can definitely say I do not regret it. I owned a Knoll Life chair prior and the fabric wore out and tore after several years. This is my first Herman Miller chair, and I'm in love. Not even a pro gamer, just a work from home/part time gamer. Get this if you can save and make room for it in your budget.
Hows the chair so far? I just ordered this one a few days ago. Should get here in a couple weeks. I wanted the very best for my coding setup
After I was dealing with back pain I bought the Embody Gaming Chair and it really changed my life! I wish they made it before!! I'm so happy to spend 2400$ to sit for 12 hours a day in my IT job without dealing with any any pain! Thank you Logitech!
Great marketing, not gonna lie lol
Yeah the chair looks sick too

@@wendypowerkiss I am so confused =O
Is it available at different colours too?as like previous model of EMBODY colour options?
great! now release this in australia please I wanna give you my money
Johny Ive, is that you? 😅
I can't be the only one that saw the Vertagear chair Myth had at the end looool.
But in all seriousness I really need one of these. This vertagear SI5000 I have is OK but not that comfortable and it's SO damn hot...
The Embody gaming chair might be expensive but you can't be cheap with health.
So many people scoff at the price of good ergonomic chairs, but what they are saying is in the long run their long-term health isn't worth it to them. They would rather risk chronic back problems and lost wages, possibly even surgeries, just to save that money upfront. This is a bargain if it helps someone to prevent that. This is for someone that sits over 8 hours per day. Those are the people that really should consider it.
So when can I buy it?
the story behind this is Logitech wanted to get shroud a chair
People need to understand that these chairs are expensive because they are designed at the top level and ideally you would buy something like this and then keep it for a very long time. Its not like your pc which you might upgrade every 3-5 years.
It would be nice with a headrest, I was expecting for that upgrade.
Atlis headrest
You mean Atlas headrest
Really recommend the aeron.
I actually had one that I bought used, but I couldn't deal with the way that the net seating works, so I sold it again. I'm looking at the embody now, since the seat works completely differently and the Aeron had a lot of things I really liked.
Worst chair ever it’s like sadistic in the way it punishes the body
I use the Aeron (my 3rd one) and I FINALLY got the headrest for it. It was worth it, but the failing of the Embody "gaming" chair is the lack of a headrest. THAT you needed for gamers. I don't need my headrest on my Aeron, but for gamers it's a necessary item. Figure it out....
Atlas Headrest is in the process of making a headrest for this chair. Once that happens, this really will be the perfect chair.
@@Nigel__ Now I know what to get my son for XMAS! Thanx for letting me know, Nigel!!!
@@Nigel__ Atlas is a rude and unprofessional company. Their cofounder answers their questions through email, and they were rude and aggressive towards me and all I did was ask a question that wasn't on their FAQ page. However, if you need a headrest for a new aeron, you must go Atlas since they're the only ones who don't void your warranty. Good products, but unprofessional company in several ways. I love the headrest to be clear
Kind of disappointed in the chair. It does not feel like an upgrade over the current Embody chair, and the seat cushion only covers about 2 3rds of the seat, cutting off at a weird spot.
2:27 I just bought this chair, and even I can't believe this guy was able to say this with a straight face lol.
It's technically true though, if you know anything about how circulation works
Copper in foam... a conductor that is insulated, how does that conduct and dissipate heat? I dun understand the logic.
"Bring ergonomics to all players" -says the company selling a $1400 chair
Most gamers I know spend more than that each year on Chipotle.
@@mccloud2649 lol yeah but then there are countless players ik spending 2k plus on a gaming rig and then refusing to pay 30 dollars for a game :/
@@canobeansyummers1667 but they probably get pizza more expensive than a game delivered 🤣
McCloud frfr
yes, and its something you will sit in every day for several years
A great looking and I’m sure an extremely comfortable chair however, the price is aimed at professional gamers/streamers and unfortunately not the standard gamer. I would love to see this product become more widely affordable in the future. Great job to everyone involved regardless.
Aeron or embody?!
Me realizing its 1,000 dollars
I would totally buy one for like 350....
Now i have no reason to not go pro in every game
I just bought one and my neck has been hurting and my back area just under my neck, is it related to the chair somehow? Maybe the adjustments need changing?
I read someone on reddit having similar issues and they explained that it wasn't the chairs fault, it was their bad posture adjusting to the chair and that the pain went away in a week. Hopefully this is the same thing you're experiencing

I use the embody but so much of the material in the video is blown up. Half the actors don't sit properly, they sit with crossed legs and don't adjust the armrests, at that point you can sit on an ikea chair. Same with the esports players. The original embody fabric seems better than this new "cooling carbon" foam cushion. Happy they kept the 12-year warranty but you have to buy it from HM or an official reseller for them to recognize it.
I tried both and the gaming one is definitely way comfier and the fabric feels better to me
This chair been on the market for 4 years. What changed?
It's been on the market for 11+ years. I know because I've been sitting in mine for 11.
@@Zaptruder good to know since I never own one before, what change with the "gaming" version? do you know?
@@One-Headlight Branding: G logo. Small pull loop at the back. The fabric now has some 'cooling gel' for padding. The padding has ridges. You get some nice blue accents.
Honestly, I like the way it looks... if I were buying now, I might be tempted to go for it (or I might just customize it through as a normal embody). Price is about the same either way.
@@Zaptruder I'm planning to buy one myself. I'm tired of my old computer chair that I been using for 6 years. It's either this or the aeron, still haven't decide which one yet.
as they said in Short Circuit: why is the adjunsting mecanism so low down there?
Well now that y'all can't buy new GPUs for a while, might as well use that money for this chair
I'm not buying it before Bjergsen tells me to xD
put a headrest and ill buy it
Atlas is supposedly working on a headrest for the Embody.
@@Nigel__ thats awesome.
I find it mid boggling that this chair doesn't have armrests depth adjustment, for me its a deal breaker, as for me they are waaaaaay to forward
I know I know it's great and all but for $1495 I don't have that kind of Budget just for a chair
you will probably buy 5 300$ chairs in the next 15 years anyways.
@@BoKKeR111 lol
It's $1500 for the long term health of your body (back). That's immediately worth it (if you spend over 6 hours everyday sitting, for years)
I never pay this much for a chair I mean yes it matters but like 1,500, I rather buy another 1 TB for my storage then buy a chair that would only support my relaxion
Make it in a WHITE frame also!
And maybe dropping the price ;)
Just checked it, it’s about 1500 bucks for a chair lol
They should have allowed the base of the chair to tilt slightly forward.
I'm not sure I trust someone who crosses their legs like that.
It's called the sophisticated 55-year-old leg cross.
THE. CHAIR. CREAKS.
Except the seat will hurt after 2 hours sitting in it because its so stiff. We need something better.
I waited months for the reveal, now I am kind of disappointed. I expected a whole new product and not the original embody chair with minor changes.
When you sold enough bitcoins to buy one but they don't ship it to your country 😤
Is there ANY actual evidence or just marketing wordplay behind all this.. Please show something.
I can offer testimony as a long time (11 years) embody user... it's the best chair I've ever had or sat in. It's not immediately comfortable (although it's not uncomfortable)... but it is the chair in which my back and body hurts the least after sitting in for long periods of time (8-12 hour days over a period of months and years). Most of the time there's no soreness.
I'd say that learning to adjust it properly is essential though... because you really want to adjust it all the time (the key philosophy is that it's a chair that responds to your moment to moment needs)... and do so correctly; which will help eliminate any lingering soreness from long term use.
The best rated chairs are Herman Miller Aeron or Embody and Steelcase Leap or Gesture, it’s not marketing and they have 12 year warranty. You can buy used ones from corporate liquidators for cheap and they’ll last forever.
2:27 HAHAHAHA WHAT? you lost me there.
Less pressure blocking your blood flow, so yes technically
Logitech forgets (speaking of the price), that it is a chair, not a high-end graphics card.
Great video, now just lower the price 50% and I'll buy one :)
thats still $600 buddy HAHA
@@bennytvyt $600 would be crazy cheap for this chair since the popular trash gaming chairs go for around $400. I would buy this chair for $1k in an instant.
@@bennytvyt $600 well worth it for my back.
Logitech's Keycaps are godlike amazing, please start selling the G Pro X Keycaps as sets. We all know you are capable of creating them, TwitchCon and Pixel Keycap sets, you sold them only for a limited time. Why create pro-grade high end doubleshot ABS keycaps but, not sell them to the users? I was using a Razer BlackWidow TE 14' for six years, just recently replaced it with the G Pro X. Logitech's keycaps are the best, world-class quality. Please, start selling these keycaps in upgrade sets. Razer, HyperX, and Corsair all offer their own upgrade keycap sets to everybody. Why is Logitech the only one not doing this? Why sell the keycap upgrade sets but only make them a TwitchCon exclusive and a Limited Edition drop? Logitech G Pro X is the best pro-grade keyboard in the world but, yet you spit in our faces as customers? Why design the best keycaps in the world but, do not offer an upgrade keycap set to everybody?
Logitech do you hear this man?
Great but what makes it $1500 lol
This could improve my gaming because office chairs are kinda... Meh.
PLEEEASE!!! AERON GAMING !!!! Please! Please! Please!
Train drivers. Ship captains. Pilots, and many more professions. Their jobs are arguably much more demanding, yet they don't have these type of chairs. Don't fall for this marketing bullshit folks.
LOL change the original one with Logitech logo also change the color and it's now a gaming chair? and you needed to visit esports players and research to make that change? Your chair best in the market no one can deny that but still lol your marketing.
