Hi, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I have Jaguar SVR and wanted to upgrade in order to gain some more power. I was wondering if you did upgraded your car with Viesu predator package since anything less than 60HP/ wheel make no sense for so much work..
Hi, no, I just fitted the supercharger pulley and a tune, which gave me about 49 bhp gain!
Great video and an upgrade. I have to ask how many £'s/BHP was it in reality? I have a stock V8R AWD and the 0-60 I suspect is sub 4 seconds, it's that good, how much would I have to spend to get 0.6 seconds off :) The car looks ace!

To launch the quickest:
First, put it into Snow/Ice/Rain mode.
Second, turn off the DSC.
(Don’t go to TracDSC; turn the DSC off. Hold the button longer.)
(DSC stands for Dynamic Stability Control. It’s the traction control system that uses the brakes. The button is on the center console, top left. It has “burn-out” marks with the word “OFF” under the marks.)

(A word to the wise: unless you are practiced and skilled at drifting, don’t turn your DSC off without first putting your car into Snow/Ice/Rain mode. Your car will become one like the many famous videos of Mustangs and other over-powered-for-rear-wheel-drive cars that slide sideways upon launch and then catch traction, sending themselves into barriers and trees.)
Snow/Ice/Rain mode puts 30% of the torque to the front wheels without having the nannies waste any time deciding how much to send front and back for you until after you launch.
DSC OFF disengages all correction-braking and transmission-governing by the nannies.
Third, slide the shift lever to the left, into sport mode.
Fourth, put it into first gear.
(Rain/Ice/Snow mode is programmed to start itself in second.)
Important:
Realize that in this setup, the car will not shift automatically for you;
you will now have to do the shifting yourself.
At redline, it WILL still cut back the fuel, itself; so,
keep your eye on your tachometer and, as below, shift at 5800-5900 rpm.
Fifth, at the launch moment, simply mash the accelerator pedal to the floor *.
Sixth, watch the tach. Shift at 5800-5900 rpm.
(That’s the peak power point.)
Seventh, grin.

Just two shifts to 60 mph in 3rd gear.
That should get your R to 60 in about 3.5 seconds. The SVR should get there in about 3.4.
And it should get your jaw to gaping in 1.2.
Probably with a screaming laugh.
(It’ll take a third shift, to 4th gear, before 100, and a fourth shift, to 5th gear, before the end of the quarter-mile --which should be over 120 mph in under 12 seconds.)

*p.s.
*You can hold the car with the brakes while rev-ing to 1000 to launch, but it is strongly ill-advised to do so because it is terribly hard on the transmission, and it gambles with voiding your warranty.
In other words, even if you can do it perfectly, don’t do it again and again.
And never hold it to rev higher than 1000 rpms --which is almost nothing more than mashing it from stand-still.
I’m told the transmission has a safe-limit in its program. Its black box records it when hitting 1100 while held with the brakes. And that can be used against you to void the warranty on the whole drive train because the V8 is powerful enough to over-stress the transmission --and even the drive shaft, and the differentials….
(That’s why the launch control function that the 6-cylinder F-Types have is not offered in this work-of-art transmission on our V8 cars. Don’t blow it. Strong advice is to not hold with the brakes for launch; just mash the go loud pedal --also known as the grin loud pedal.)

I was impressed with Paramount, took my V8S to 596bhp with same mod you had, not sure the RWD will let me get under 4 seconds never mind 3.5!!!

had my R done by Lister who have specialised in Jaguars for about half a century. 670 BHP 716 Nm torque and 0-60 3.1 claimed, not bothered putting it on a dyno or timing 0-60 so could be fake news, but just to let others know there is a choice of tuners out there.
put it in V Max mode - see if your times are any better

Tbh I was expecting a bit more taken off the 0-60 but still exciting nonetheless. Think you’ll have upgrade the ZF trans and go past the 660ish hp threshold most of us tuned for-types are stuck at?
