I always wonder why some songs are so low, but then I realize: They are just all so good
its true though the top 100 songs are all over 3.5 so thats a really good percentage for so many different styles and themes to be so liked.
Yeah, I don't think any of them were ranked below a 2.0

@@Emily-ox6yn same it’s literally one of my favourites (it’s second place out of the songs from TGWDLM for me, I have it above show stoppin number because of the fact that show stoppin number has so much dialogue that makes it a bit slower)
There's so many that I go "how is THAT so low?!" But then, the next song comes up and I go "oh that makes sense now" and I repeated this process the entire video lol.
Really there's some I'm going why is that so high? Like for god's sake who in the world can tell me half of the songs If not any of them any of them from 33 onwards are Better than "I was"

whoever wrote the lyrics for that show is a master of their craft and needs to be writing songs for actual Broadway shows.

I think the reason I love TGWDLM so much is that every song is essentially a villain song. Literally, every song is sung by an antagonist. La dee dah dah day? You bet your ass it's a villain song. Show Stopping Number? Hidgens literally has the heroes tied up. It's so interesting.
While this is true literally, in the structure of musical theatre it also makes sense, since the antagonists often sing the “I am” song, which almost all of tgwdlm’s songs are

also!! the highest ranked song from MAMD is higher than the highest ranked song of 5 or 6 other shows (i'm bad at counting) and that makes me stupidly happy. i'm glad everyone can appreciate aj's magic

I think it's just that Blim usually plays characters that are either villains or uncomfortable to watch, so while nobody doubts his talent, his songs just aren't as enjoyable

Honestly I find his style a bit repetitive and his singing voice is not that great. Fans may maul me for that but I think he writes his songs too high for his voice

Ok I just don’t get the extremely low ranking of You Tied up My Heart, What Do You Want Paul and What Tim Wants. I guess some people just don’t like Jeff’s vocals, which I understand, but What Tim Wants is Criminally underrated. Dylan’s vocals are phenomenal and give the song so much heart even if it lacks a bit of a place.
Also Show Stopping Number is very low. I get that it’s overrated, but it’s still a top notch StarKid song in my opinion

That's literally what I thought too. Show stoppin' number I can live with because legit any of the last 25 could be put at one and it would make sense, and someone had to put them into an order. But legit, I thought TGWDLM was gonna do really poorly when like 3 songs in I see Sam tied up to hiss chair.

I think the reason that this ranking is so chaotic is because people voted in reference to the show, like for me Wizard Of The Year & Sidekick are my favourite songs in Senior Year so I would rank them highly in reference to the other AVPSY songs but not necessarily with Starkid as a whole (just a thought with a random example idk)

It's a mystery. I'be seen pretty good reasoning to why people hate a certain song in a show, but "Monsters and Men" is a great song and I haven't seen anybody say exactly WHY they don't like it, just that they do.

personally i love monsters and men but i cant stand jeffs falsetto - its not bad but its not a pleasant sound to listen to for me and i think monsters and men would have so much more potential if it was sung by a female belter like jaime or even curt (his voice is amazing)

I find it very interesting that in the video where the ranking was based on “what is your favourite song” the top three were kick it up a notch, wagon on fire, show stoppin number. But in this one (where people actually rated the songs individually) show stoppin number is the only one that dropped. So a lot of people have it as there favourite but everyone who doesn’t doesn’t care for it that much. Meaning: if you’re one of the people who got pissed at and attacked me for putting it at number 30 in my own ranking then you’re in a very loud (and very annoying) minority.
Never really got the hype over SSN. Sure working boys is iconic but I feel like the fandom hyped up the whole song to be better than it is

For me personally it definitely deserves to be on the top 20 (maybe number 15 or so) but attacking someone for disagreeing is so stupid. In fact it really saddens me when I see someone on the comment section being agressive like that because it actually also affects the perception and popularity of the song itself, as many people are fed up with it and think it's overrated (which again, for me it isn't really because I love it but whatever)
I feel like SSN is just very popular with the gays (myself included) and thats why. I genuinely love the song because of how gay I find it if that makes sense but you shouldnt get attacked.
