- Moungi Bawendi, the Lester Wolfe Professor of Chemistry at MIT and a leader in the development of tiny particles known as quantum dots, has won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2023. His first name is Moungi, and his family name is Bawendi. His father's name is Mohamed Salah. Their genes are Tunisian. He was born in Paris and spent several years living in Tunis. Subsequently, they immigrated to the United States. There are many immigrants in similar situations, and they take great pride in their Tunisian roots ! Say something positive and useful !

Hundreds of thousands of Tunisians live abroad due to challenging economic conditions, yet they hold on to their Tunisian identity, frequently returning and visiting their homeland. It's important to understand and support the choices of scientists seeking the optimal environment to make significant contributions to science. Blaming them for seeking opportunities that align with their goals is unfair, very unfair. Some respect, please!
